I am only asking bcs you run big current and more DCin can add heat. But you are still listening so it surely did not break.😀
R-D with k-m sounds bigger but seems to lose punch, can be R-D needs more current or more voltage in?
I don't know, very system specific and subjective what you tune. Try with some more Vin to K-mult or with some more R-D current solo sometime to see if you can combine best subjective traits. But always watch sinks temp.
How higher DCin you gained by excluding a prior C-mult?
1.87V

BIII DCin measures 5.235V with KM and R-D.
? are you talking about the Keantoken K multiplier before Reflektor D ?
*It has no special name. Its just a second order capacitance multiplier. KM is Keantoken's multiplier.
Very easy to assemble. I use it for 3.6V (red led + diode) and it's right on spot right away.
My current requirement is very low, 30mA, and now I've got 0.710/2=355mA CCS, should I aim for lower figure ? Heatsink is hot but no damn hot.

Somehow managed to miss that ...was only aware of the work by Keantoken.
Some years ago had a blast getting into diy with my budy ( if i may ?....) master ZM , by building a all new IV for a Shanling CD player (well documented elsewhere in the forum ).
It has been amazing ever since ......but methinks that a redone power supply is in order.
I really like the sound of the IV that ZM tweaked for me but the cap multiplier i made at the time was at best rudimentary....it was my first effort after all.
It seems i will try one of my (....errrrr your ) BIBs with your cap multiplier and go on from there.
Sorry for the OT.

No reason for less. Excess is good (in shunt regs).😀
