Reference DAC Module - Discrete R-2R Sign Magnitude 24 bit 384 KHz

Last news from my DIY Soekris 1021 project.
Change of main amplifier to Pathos Logos Mk2 I have changed outputs from DAC to balanced.
I'm usually not using connectors if I have possibility to connect wires directly.

It was very strange when I have feel some power loss from my linear power supply.
I have used 3300mF per +/- channels with LM317 stab and filtering scheme. In RSA outputs wasn't any issue here, but now… 🙂

So to be concrete - I changed Power supply to use 8800mF per channel instead and put small shield from brass to isolate transformer from DAC.

It works with balanced outputs - the sound more clear and detailed bass has more structures.

I stopped following this super huge and descriptive thread on DAM1021 about 11 years ago and since then I am listening through a 1021 rev2 driven by amanero and raspberry i4 with Volumio. My problem is that my current speakers are very very efficient, thus it is now annoying to listen to a huge click every time I change a song. I was wondering if this simple problem of muting is already addressed during these 14 years or everybody still listens to this annoying noise. If there is a simple solution I would be happy to build! P.s I have the original soekris software and I have not upgrade it since. I recently installed some 1:1 trades at the output just in case the there was a dc during switching but no luck with these too.

Thank you!
