Interesting, changing from zTerm to Serial on my mac solved the issues immediately. Maybe zTerm, as being old,is not not supported by more recent operating systems.

Not relevant anymore, the vref circuit have been improved a lot since.... Just add some polymer capacitors, there are even holes for them....
I have Done This already but i have two soekris v2or This is v3, 16capacitors are one buttom of board. And New v5 version with same mods ,but with no bc550 mod. My old version Sound different, for my friend Sound it better. So please help me to add bc550/560 transistors to v5 .

It is opa365. Mod is the same as on other boards? In wich way did you like old board vs new one. Is Firmware the same on both boards?
Firmware is orginal i dont change it. Yes mods are The same but only This bc5xx mod. Old one is more musical.
Maybe both don*t have same filter setting. I also read that new firmware sound different that old ones.
Hi im thinking to try batery Power suply for shifts, what is minimum Power that shifts Play same łąkę on reference 4v. I know that one person Has trying to put on shifts 3.3v with lifepo4 batery with very Good Sound. But mayby better idea will be to use difrent batery, something 3.7v nominał,Full charged will be near 4v, so very Good. Butt whats batery will give best performance we need to get best Sound? Thank You.
And iv i get 3.3v on shifts i will have stil Full 1.4v rms output? In datasheet of shift they can operate on 3.3 v or even 5v. Thank You!

I upgraded the firmware with TeraTerm and it went well, as you can see in the attachment, switching off immediately after the DAC and turning it back on after a while, but now, connected again, no sound comes out. What may have happened?

I forgot: the led that in the presence of the signal should remain lit, now unfortunately it flashes as if there was no digital signal at the entrance
Your upgrade did not complete properly. The uManager still shows version 1.06.
If you have line feeds enabled in TerraTerm try disabling them and see if both uManager and FPGA read version 1.19 after the update.
Further back in this thread people reported success using slower connection speeds - don’t forget to set the DAM to the corresponding speed.

Hi question to Soekris. Shifts will work Good on 3.3-3.6v voltage? I will get Full 1.4v rms output on raw In This voltage? Thank You much!
Hi Soekris, can you please tell me how much Vpp not rms has sokeris v1,v2..v5 on raw output. Manual tells 1,4v rms ...so around 4Vpp? on 0db 1V on what load, just scope test probe? I modified V1 and didn"t measure max output voltage. Now is different.

0 dB output directly from the resistors is (vref / 2.83) Volt RMS, as standard vref on a dam1021 is 4V so 1.4V RMS. Please note that the new ref 1.19 firmware and filters defines digital 0 dB at about -1 dB on resistors output, to add a little margin.
