The cardioid stuff is very interesting, and I wonder if I can use that eventually to have big bass inside and none getting out to the neighbours
An interesting bit I noticed was re the port on the bandpass box. The part the hand was being stuck into seems more like the jet nozzle port that I drew for the ported Volcano sub and less like the drawing they show
I did enjoy the open sound of the racer on the stand and look forward to hearing my other drivers mounted so and new respect for the various open baffle designs floating around the forum. It is a nicer rendition than ported or sealed and will be looked into further with a pair of upcoming Randytion two-ways 😀 for my desktop

Unfortunately, the modal response of a small room won't support a cardioid low frequency pattern.
Yes, the BB3 and a Harmon boombox replacement drivers are offered on Ali and the basis of a lot of cloning and PR cabs but mostly without much in the way of acoustic modelling and such
Will pull the broken in T/S on this driver as soon as my new desk/bench is finished
