Question for Geddes and John K

I continue to believe that John was not looking at the right things and that he was perdisposed NOT to find anything and didn't. His analysis did not look at the actual modification of a waveform, only the changes in Re over a longer time period than that of the waveform.

Why do you assume I am predisposed to anything? I did an analysis and presented the results. I even looked at the THD in the output current for a system driven by a sinusoidal input voltage. The analysis is what it is. It certainly doesn't cover everything, but given the max power dissipated in the VC and the max allowable VC temperature, the cooling rate is set. Also as I said, the max rate of change in Re occurs when the VC is cold, so if if the rate of change in VC temp is too slow at the start to effect the current in the VC on a short time scale (time scale of musical transients) then it too slow, period. That is not my predisposition, that is what analysis tells me.
