If use what I named like w-core,
it's better for output transformer.

I am look the dimentions of E(w) transformers amf toroidal.
The first a bigger than toroid.
I think You need think about.
In the first picture is OCM transfpormers and for Your power You will need OCM 0.6 = 600W or OCM 1 = 1 kVA. It's may need more cooper with small dimention toroid. In toroid I use 250% capacitance that more than big OCM. Weigh, dimentions, and power capacitance and price may be no interesting for you.
OCM I prefer for SE amps.
Transformer steel have not a big price and it's good for power cap.
Perfectly for me, I use 250-300% capacitance that work in linear indictance zone. Many factory use a maximum load. It's cleary - the taxes, worker fees, high-speed making, licemcing and other...
I think that that people use shot lnear corve zone(or transistor), why not look for inductance linear zone? Transformer is a enerator of curve, and this detail have distortion two (THD).
If You need a good (nice) looking - the OCM may be You will need to close by metal cap(box). ..Toroid the same...

The 13cm X 13cm X 10cm is a good size for me.
I understand your thoughts about torroids, but they are not hard to get in the U.S.
To get E core or R core is very difficult. I've never even heard of W core until this
thread came up

I have the idea to make a special transformer for
MC input transformer.
Interesting to know the price, which people readu to do for ultra-high-class.
I have toroid Co and Fe core.
m=120000 (like perm.)
Bmax (Co )= 0.45 T (4500 Gs)
Fe = 0.9 T (9000 Gs)
Diameter(tr.core) = near 35mm
Heght = near 1.5mm
With 120 w with double wiring 0db at real 100-120 Khz (Generator impedance near 75 Ohm wioth eqivalent Resistor in secondary and Ktr = 1:1).
May be Use mid pint for ground at secondary, and third isolated ware for ground to, for killing the negative capasitans.
Diameter of ware = 0.15 -0.2 mm
