The eagle owl visited me several times last year.
Unfortunately, he won't be coming back; it was probably just a short vacation trip.

One of the things I love to do at the weekends is to go out for walks and Photograph wildlife .
Here's our local urban Peregrine Falcons , they live and hunt around an old mill in Derbyshire UK, the male is ringed showing he fledged from Derbyshire Cathedral

When I moved over to the house I live in now red squirrels were everywhere. As there is a road with fast traffic they had managed to learn to avoid traffic. So we witnessed them to look left and right before crossing the street and were sure this was a special feature of "our" squirrels. Had them in my garden too but they were not too keen on contact so we let eachother in peace. Around Covid they started to die and even fell out of trees. A virus was suspected, the population diminished. Only now they are appearing again but apparently they forgot the technique to cross streets as now I see them squashed flat on the streets. A real pity.
Animal behavior is remarkable to observe…and often gruesome!
Our back yard has been over run by chipmunks. They are cute at first…then they start burrowing everywhere you don’t want them to.
I discovered during the first Spring in the new house that they will bark warning calls to one another as I walked around the perimeter of the property near the woods picking up debris that had fallen from a storm.
Early this Spring I was observing one right outside our kitchen window to the back yard.
Evidently it had killed an unwelcome visitor (a mouse) to its territory…and was eating it!!!🤢🤮

The red squirrels also are vegetarians with a double agenda 🙂 Simplified it seems carnivores and omnivores can manage while herbivores usually need the others to survive and eventually be eaten.
