James Bond - Die another day.

I'm surprised this picture turned out so good after I shrunk it, its prolly pretty close to what I am actually seeing in color saturation/contrast wise. Its really hard to take good pictures the camera(Nikon Coolpix 950) likes to overexpose everything when there isnt enough light.

Bloody things are fragile. How do you think you cracked it? I mean during what stage and how? I think I cracked mine during the removal of the plastic frame. I just used to much force to pry the plastic from the rest.

Image looks pretty competitive to photos taken of a commercial projector under 2k. Have you seen any demos of commercial projectors so that you can compare?

ok heres my set up!
geha top vision ohp (4k lumen), n.view media pro lcd, 2.4ghz video sender to send the signal to the panel(to save lengthy wires across the floor), playstation2 as a scource for dvd(dosnt seem to be affected by macro as much as my dvd player)
screen is about 6ft diag. super flat and is made from medium grade artist canvas stretched over a 2" by 1" frame backed with 2mm mdf.
picture is really watchable and the pics probably dont do it justice!

tony's first born, coffee table projector

Hi,

This is my first post to the forum. A great site. After lurking
here for a couple months, i decided to get my feet wet.

Here are a few pics of my first projector. I decied to build it into
a coffee table. I had not seen any other examples of this on the
site. Also, has better wife appeal when it's in the middle of the room.

Went out and bought the Liquidvideo 15" panel. Stripped it down,
and left it in the original front face plate. I thought it looked better
this way and it keeps all the controls for it intact.

I have yet to do any real tweaking on it. But here is what it looks like
projected on a 6' wide pull down screen in a dark room.

Tony

The table with panel installed.
