That is a tough one. I have listened to quite a few top notch preamps that have psuedo mono psu so AFAIC it is unnecessary. But for some sware by true dual mono.

No regulator..just a simple CRCRC or CLCRC OR LCRC ..etc. 🙂

What does D1 and D2 do? Right now I am just grounding the center tap of the PT. Would this give me a quieter B+? Just wondering...
Together they form a hybrid graetz bridge. In case you don't have a transformer with center tap.
Example of the adapter boards with an octal board. The adapter boards only work with the octal boards.

Looks like the first of many ripoffs. Notice how they added cathode bypasses and power supply decoupling on the board. In all not a bad looking board. I wonder how much 9 Euro is. I'm not a patent lawer but I would suspect that Mr. Broskie while being pi**ed when seeing this probably wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
Well ours was the first ripoff I know of. 🙂
Since the circuit is in the public domain, there is nothing John Broskie can do. Not sure he is pissed off though.
