No, only 36V, not different in another
One PCB for 3251 and 3255
OK, so for the first PSU the only alternative is TPA3255, TAS5630 ICEpower 250A and the Sure AA-AB32313.
Every man to his taste. : D
My TPA3251 amp very fine sound.
Yeah mine too. There should be no difference with 3255 but somehow there is. I might revisit 3255 once more.
Need use PFFB
Would a buck step down converter be a problem?
I have a 4.5amp 48v power supply, but with a buck stepdown converter I might get close to 36v and run a TPA3251 or any other amp with other volt requirements.
Or... will be the buck converter a problem for the amp's performance?
Use TPA3255
OK.
3e Audio or you have a better recommendation?
Cheers

3e Audio not bad))))
3e version does not have PFFB.
Is there any alternative? 3e audio and ebay/aliexpress ones, are the only choices?
mga2009 go to xrk971))))
Budget is about $ 40,-. and not $250,- like xrk.
Wow)))
Get something for nothing became fashionable lately. Clearly wrong hobby for some people.

I find your comment a little rude, as it its clearly directed to me. First, USD$40 is not "nothing". Second, I am not asking something extraordinary or uncommon, just a cheap amp to work with a psu i have spare.
Also, questioning others people's hobbies because they don't want to spend USD$250 in an amp?

I selfmade my amp for stretched in time costs))))

You clearly have no understanding what involved in making quality amplifiers. $40 for a quality board is indeed “nothing”
Unless it’s used. My comment was made as general observation.

It's not the idea to start arguing about this, but I didn't said XRK971 was not worth USD$250. Second, In the OP I said "an amp that sounds good enough", so please don't misinterpret what I am looking for "quality amplifier".
Anyways, TPA3255 seems to be a good alternative, although it's not going to be the best version of it.
