-complementary-Mosfets, not balanced - will be a source follower
Dirk
Balanced in terms of amplifying the + and - and Single Ended (SE) in terms of the signal referencing ground.
A balanced mono block is a 2 channel amp while a SE mono block is a single channel amp.
Had to search for 'Dartzeel' - didn't know the brand
Yeah, the NHB-468 case and internals look like yours 🙂
Very nice

some IXYS-Mosfets - the 'hockeypucks'...
Lordy, it's XA25 monoblocs!

Dirk,
Nice work as usual... you are an expert in putting the aluminum profiles to good use. 🙂
A question on that - do you order the profiles according to specific lengths or cut them yourself? If you are cutting them by yourself, what are you using?

Good morning,
yes, it is tinted plexiglas on the Backside of my BA-1 - Monoblocks.
I like translucent grey. If the amp is off, it looks like black - if the amp is on
you have a blue shining 'UFO' in your listening room. 😉
Cheers

Good morning zman01,
I buy the profiles from a distributor here in Germany cut to length.
They are offered in 10 cm-steps/ length. You can order them customized
for a little extra costs.
Cutting them yourself is possible with the right tools - but no fun. You need
a good miter saw. Aluminum profiles flying around in your working area is no fun.
Cheers

Hello mordikai,
the aluminum - handles are normally used in mechanical engineering.
Often used at the control panels/cases of machines.
I am searching for them at the moment. Because I also need 4 handles
for the new build. But they seem to be not availible in aluminum at the moment.
You can get those handles also in plastic - but I don't like it.
I am searching for the distributor and will post it here or I send you a pm.
Cheers

Hello Eric,
the PSU seems robust enough...
Sometimes I do tests how rigid / robust the frames are.
Although I have posted those pics before - again for your entertainment.
The 'Fakir'-test on the new build and the handstand-test on the 50W-SE-Schade-amps - some time ago.
Please don't do this!!! 😱
Cheers
