What is the value of the enormous choke? Also, what is it's measured DC resistance?
The value of the inductor is 300 mH and the resistance is 5.7 ohms.
The spool of wire (inductor) is 29.5Kg gauge 12.

I just "blocked" 3 remote servers from automatically downloading pics to my PC when I log into this page.
That has reduced the page load time from about 20seconds to less than half a second.
Why do we still allow remote servers to auto download in this Forum?

you're whining and being rude
each image is completely decent - under 100K , linked to/from OP's personal web page
do you ever think before typing ?
fact that I know how to make each of these images smaller than 35K , with same quality , doesn't giving me right to yakyak without proper reason

Hi Choky. I've never seen you so stern.... still love you, though.
(back on topic)
My, what a beautiful assembly of components. Beautiful, and rare! Those dovetail joints are special.

that one can be and must be smaller
original link , being 400+K in size , while just 800pix , is even in era of broadband web , just waste of resources
here it is ,as example of 15sec work - much smaller , while sized up

ZenM,
thanks for copying those pics to DIYaudio and for compressing them.
Your effort just confirms that there is no need to use remote servers that automatically download.
I would support a campaign to persuade the Forum to adopt the rule that remote servers that auto download are "banned" from this Forum.
That "rule" was proposed for when the new Forum software came on line. But the new Forum software is still awaited. And I still await the promised "rule".

it's easy to implement same size [KB] restrictions for both attached and linked pictures , when polishing forum software ; in that case bigger pic files can be automatically just shown as active text links , instead as pics shown inline in post's body
not easy for me , but certainly for guys doing the job 😉
anyway - I always prefer attached pics , or at least linked to place which I'm directly controlling
which was exactly the case with PsykoK's pics (own web site) , except last one (euphonia forum)
