My Pearl Phono
LOTS more pictures and information here - http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/180008-pearl-one-build.html
Hi fellows,
here are some pics of my PearlOno.
Now that's classy and built right. If only my second name wasn't Goldbert and my first name wasn't Rube.
What are you referring to when you say "an active system"? Are there passive amplifiers? 😛and my new amp (not finished) for making it 5.0 surround, all active.
will contain 4 A60's and 4 A30's
yeah wicked indeed...
3 devices containing 6 mono A60's and 8 mono A30's
I really love the Aleph in direct-mode (active, you know what I mean)
God bless Nelson (and the rest of the world too I hope)
Ok

Sorry but still don't know what you mean by active 🙁
electric active speaker crossover 😉 its placed before the poweramps, which means one amp per driver in a speaker....quite a lot of power consuming with all classA
ClassA is interesting for mids and highs when using active filters, but will bring nothing under 300 hz. Any class AB amp can be used here.
that's too much of generalization
question is - is amp voltage and current wise capable to feed the speaker properly ;
is it A or B or C or D class - that's simply economy issue
