Very nice and neat layout underneath. I hope I can do as well on the project I'm working on, but I kind of doubt it will be that clean. The biggest thing I find myself working on in the layout of that current project is trying to find a clean layout for the new style of square caps. It makes it hard especially because I'm not willing to show the anchor points or holes for zip ties above on the plate. I'm not willing to trust the adhesive on zip tie anchor pads.

Are the drivers in the speaker really old?
Yes, vintage JVC drivers.
There is DC-AC converter for +U.
DC-DC, actually. I removed choppers from the inverter to get 275V under load.

I posted my 845 amp a few pages back.. It's gone through some more changes. I changed my driving stage from a #56 -> 6BL7 setup, to a #26 -> 843 stage.
These are pretty low gain tubes, but I've biased the tubes with a lot of headroom so that my DAC which outputs 2Vrms can drive the 845 stage to full power.
#26 tubes are filament biased using Coleman regs.
The 843 tubes in the driving stage are pretty uncommon, but I was drawn to them, and was able to find them without too much trouble. There's next to no examples of them being used in a similar fashion that I could find (on these forums), but Vinyl savior did an article on them, and they looked interesting to me.

So, now you have an all DHT stereo amplifier! Congratulations. Can you tell us if/how the sonics changed after the switch to DHT's?
The 843 tubes are actually indirectly heated.. I would have loved to have gone with 10Y or 801A tubes in the second driving stage, but I just didn't have room for that in this chassis.
So far I'm very impressed with the sound, it's hard for me to do much of a comparison to the old setup, as it's been a few weeks since I had that setup in place.. And I can't A/B the two configurations. I also got this completed fairly late last night, so haven't been able to give it too much of a listen yet.
