3 Watt SET.

This is my 3 watt SET, using the television tube PCL82 Triode/Pentode (Pentode wired as Triode). Both sections of the tube are paralleled. It employs the over-large Hammond 1627SEA O/P transformer. The Filament supply is 12V DC, smoothed and regulated, which along with the Solid-State HT supply, are located in a separate matching unit. I made my own HT choke from an old microwave oven transformer, with a 10 thou' gap placed in the iron-works. The filament PSU uses the Omron HSY-2, to give a 10-second slow start.

years ago, i tried this and was met with an uproar, i do not think there is something that can be done now after so many years....so a title change is in order i think, like "Photo Gallery and comments"...

Mate, looks good. Tear off those tranni stickers and put them on the bottom plate out of site. To me they detract from a very nice build. Not convinced about tube choice but haven’t heard them, so can say no bad.
