What are those three copper(?) tin cans behind the front tube?
Power supply filter caps. There's a motor run cap inside each copper pipe. My local scrapyard had a bunch of these copper pipe off cuts in a bin, so I bought a bunch of them, prettied them up and lacquer coated them.

Looks very, very cool!!

Thank you. I don't want to flood the thread with my comments, so thanks to everyone else for your compliments. They're much appreciated.
kodabmx, tell us more about your circuit please. And maybe a shot of how these many elements combine below deck.
I also note some banana plugs on the front...for what purpose?
The banana plugs are test points for voltages...
I'll snap a pic later today when I figure out why it sounds like it's a 4 bit digital interface...
I'm fan of all your amps !!Maggy-Moto,,, Magnavox 175,, built on a Motorola 3channel chassis, using Moto PT and a pair of Moto Bass channel OPTs, which are full range(finally found a 2nd one!)

Finally fixed a 24VDC supply for my, just assembled, headphone amp, adjusted the bias andhooked up a pair of (no so good) headphones.
It playes pretty well.
Tube is Korg Nutube 6P1, of which I ended up with too many, so I got this PCB from Peter Millett and ordered the components according to Milletts BOM, from Mouser. (I could write a long story about this order, that was placed last Summer and where the last pieces ended up just a few weeks ago).

Just finished my Audio Note 12AX7 MM/MC phono preamplifier and separate power supply. I bought both kits years ago, I decided it was time to build it when I found 12AX7a low noise tubes at a Ham Fest a month ago. I'm surprised at how quiet it is when there is no input signal or between songs.

13EM7 spud
From my humble budget and hands to the basement of good sounds...
13EM7 spud mono blocks using ideas from many and all the best parts I had laying around
In the background are Frugel Horn XLs...the Preamp is an Aikido, the DCP is vintage Magnavox

That transistor with its large heatsink, what type is it and what is its collector dissipation?
Is it a regulated power supply?
