Good to hear from you, Pavel. So far your files stands for 95% of my traffic from my website. At the moment we talk about Gigabytes of download all this from your pdf files. Altough my SMD Gainclone project is catching up to yours.Upupa Epops said:No, is is not dead. I am preparing my own www. sites and some things about " business " 😎 .
If you change the size of the heatsink to a more common model and also the input connector you have an excellent pcb.
I was thinking, that you are annoyed on me for my notice about your suculent 😉 - I like flowers too and mainly this one look very nice 😉 . About heatsing and connectors : I will send you instruction manual and immediately this will be clear for you - into this module you can give many types of heatsinks, not only this one, all is there writen. Input connector is the same case, also you can use many variants - on photo is this one ready for crossover, but it is not only one 😎 . If you will be kind, give it on your sites too.
Count on me!
Yes,.. I really do understand when you claim for a team of one designer.
Sometimes we would like to have a team working on that project to get things faster but, in a deep thought, I think it would be very difficult to get one person to do design similar to ourselves in this DIY matter.
🙄
Anyway, in DIY maybe one of the great deals is really to work alone as dead lines, details and costs require only one personal decision.
😎
But I'm sure you can find here other designers that would love to colaborate as they can and you do ask for. I think it would be a terrible vampire instinct to let you work hard on the project and just order the kit claiming for low costs and so on.... I'm sure most of the guys waiting for your good news are NOT this type of people. 🙄
I've been working with audio electronics for 15 years and have some experience, but I think it is nothing compared with my fellows in this forum. Anyway, if there's something you need some help, you can count on me, and I'm sure there R others also, OK?
(no commercial interest here).
I hope your hospital time resulted in great health now.
😱 😱
Best regards.

Guys, I have technical problem : I need special voltage selector for switching of primary winding 120 / 240 V AC, directly mounted to PCB, but for horizontal mounting ( I had find only type for vertical mounting ). Trafo is small type, so current may be low. Thank for your advice.

Why not simply use a 3-pole connector where you connect for instance 1-3 for 240 V and 1-2 for 120 V operation? Or use inlet with selector switch?
Switch Apem G series or 5236W: http://www.apem.com/pdf/APEM_E.pdf
Inlets/Power entry module: http://www.schurter.ch/pdf/e_d/c_kd.pdf
To UrSv : It's not so simply how you think - you must switch winding to serial or parallel conection. But thank you for your advice, I had find it by Arcoelectric ( Apem have only low voltage types, not for AC lines ) 🙂 .

I do not think it is simpler than it is. That, IMHO, depends on the transformer configuration and you said low power. The Apem switches I linked to have some that are rated at 2-3 A at 250 AC so I don't quite see why that would be considered as low voltage type.
To UrSv : I don't saw all program of Apem, only this one, which you send here 🙂 - it is OK, for me is easyly to get here Arcoelectric.
To Hisatugo : Thank you for your offer 🙂 . I read this forums very closely and it is for me very good " learning " 😉 . My " project " with 4780 rise after reading of many questions here about grounding, transformers, devices, wiring etc. My idea was to make an amp, which will be quite universal, which can make everyone and which don't bring to anyone problems. I don't like exotic devices and talkig about theirs miracle influence on sound - I mean, that good sound make mainly good connection and well designed PCB. My mind is open to every good advices and I can discuss about it, I'm not demagog with end thruth. But it is about long time talking 😎 .
Hi Pavel, yes I got that email and I replied to it, its my reply I was referring to. I will send it again in case it has gone astray.
Pavel has been busy and made a manual for the PA03. I will upload it tonight. Pavel, I had trouble to read it but it seems that you have used Acrobat 5 features. I tested it at work and I can read the file. I see also that you use Open Office. It seems to be rather nice so far and it's free, both for Mac, Linux, Windows etc. I like the initiative!

Please do. 🙂Upupa Epops said:To peranders : It is in Acrobat 6, but if you can, I can send it in an older version 😎 .
I got the pdf but I ment merely version 4. Never mind, version 5 works I just have to avoid trying to view the file at home.
