Starting to get excited now 🙂 and I'm slowly gathering parts.... The inductor - I am going to try and wind my own (like in a previous post) but does it have to be a coil spring type? Or can it be something like this? 7447725 | Wurth 1 μH 20% Ferrite Radial Inductor, Max SRF:105MHz, Q:60, 1.03mA Idc, 0.1Ω Rdc WE-TI | Wurth Elektronik (just in case I make a right mess of it 🙂 )

The coil has only 0.6 mm wires and possibly also inside. It could work but it's pretty easy to wind 15 turns by yourself.
