Paradise phonostage pre-regboard, psu group buy v2

From memory the delay problem with the original GB was mainly to do with an ever changing design development prior to ordering PCBs.........that said this is now going on far too long and those who paid via Paypal may be soon at risk of being out of time to evoke a repayment. [I Can't remember if the period for protection is 60 or 90 days.]

EDIT:
I see that I ... and others ... paid in early February and that PCBs were to be ordered around 24 February. ALSO fewer than half of those on the spreadsheet appear to have paid!!!

That's correct so far, so for those in question
it's fair to say pick your choice.
I'm trying to reach him via phone on daily basis the moment.

edit: regarding the spreadsheet.. I have paid for example and it is not noted there,
so I silently assume this will be the case with others too, probably.
I know Simon has an overview who has paid & that is sufficient to me so far,
also we are meanwhile faced with a potential issue of a different quality, possibly at least.

Thank you for your attempts to speed this up torstoi....I have paid for only two boards and no components so feel that I am in a position which will not hurt - whatever happens. Some however have bought the full kit and that is a little more serious. Sympathy also goes to SQ225917 who is handling some of the UK purchases...he has been left in the lurch - so far.

State of play is, that I reached him on the phone last on April 11th
where he promised to have PCBs & parts sent out by the end of April,
or rather said by the end of week before.

Since last Friday I try to get him on the phone, but w/o success yet.

Let’s not be hasty gents.😎

I’m happy enough to give things more time if needed and hope that things are OK with Peter.

If he’s run into a problem his end (which can happen) then maybe he should let us know.

We may be able to help sort it.🙂

I second this.
There is an interest for understanding the other side of the table asked on both sides.
We hope you are doing fine personally, Peter.
If there is issues of any kind on your side,
you should come forward with it & so we can look for a solution.

Drop us a sign you are well please & let's take it from there.

Kind regards,
T

This is clearly a ridiculous situation which is fortunately rare with group buys on DIYaudio.

Those who paid for a full kit are a considerable sum out of pocket and also are also probably out of time to use the Paypal resolution methods to protect their outlay.

sq225917 - who comes from Steel City - made a fair judgement in using the problem member to source the boards etc. as it would save origination costs.

It is most probable that there has been some problem and that once it is resolved Peter will make good his undertaking. The infuriating part is that he is not responding to the buyers either in person or collectively through this thread and that fills me with anger and with forbodance as to the possible outcome. Equally I am afraid that the members who added their names to the order and are not shown as having paid may bear a fair degree of responsibility in this; Peter may have been left with a hefty bill for those people if he was unwise enough to order whilst believing that he would be paid!

''Peter may have been left with a hefty bill for those people if he was unwise enough to order whilst believing that he would be paid''

That's pretty much what I was thinking but a solution may be at hand.😎

I know someone interested in some boards and part and I'm sure that others do also.

If that's the problem it can be fixed up.🙂

I've run quite a few GB's in the past and without fail I've lost cash for my trouble (not complaining😎) but it need not happen with this one.

It can be a thankless task also and I for one am grateful to Peter for taking this on.

But

I'd suggest that creating a hostile environment may not help the process very much.

No one is looking to create a hostile environment, everyone simply wants trouble free resolution to this. There's no excuse for not answering calls for weeks on end and making no effort to communicate with those parties who have fronted over 6000 euros for this group buy.

if Peter is out of pocket he only has to ask. Both Torsten i myself have sent multiple emails offering whatever kind of help he may require. If he delivered what he had then the rest of the units would sell themselves on the wave of publicity. I could easily build another 3 Paradises for friends if I had all the parts.

As I said earlier, i just want resolution. If I have to turn up at Frciklefest to make it happen so be it.

Peter not answering just serves to feed the flames of worry.
