Transformer

oh interesting.
i got Block FL 14/12 out of the groupbuy!

and the print on the preREG board also says FL14/12.
2x115V - 2x12V - 14VA

thats all i know!

The voltage is now 24 V, You are right, at the beginning of the discussion it was 30 V.

This one fits too:
Block RKD 80/2x24

It seems impossible to show that ebay link??

Only the overview.

AVWERK: Transformers are usually higher voltage than what they suggest... since many are measured with 100% load (internal loss of some voltage) and when you run less current, you get higher voltage... This is quite common with transformers to my knowledge, and i have seen it more often than the other way. If the voltage is less then expected, then i would say there is a trouble :)

U are not alone

Hello Guys,
first i feel like i have to apologize for a thing i am not
guilty of.
Everybody who is not happy with his new noisy roommate,
feel free to contact BLOCK, but, please behave !
They did not believe me.
"Crap" is a harsh offense, but, in fact, they are close to it.
Today a closer friend told me about another example with
different voltage....
Those replacements i've got from them are not exactly
quiet either, but, as i wrote earlyer, build in a box with some
care, they should not do any harm.
Please understand the fact i can not afford sending those
replacements around the world without refunding what i have
to spend to DHL.
Yesterday i tried to check out what alternative we could just
swap without any pain.
Sadly, the spec-sheets i found were not really helpfull, because
most of them are for a whole line of t-formers and i have to get
a closer look....
Stay tuned.

Hello Robert,
i did read it.
If you might read my previous post you'll possibly
understand my position.
Those Blocks i got are noticeably better than those of
batch #308031 (written in white on the underside).
If you &/or somebody else decide to go for exchange.
Send me all the money you got and hope for the best.:lifesavr:
But keep in mind, those you will get are NOT completely
noiseless. (but really much better than the previous ones)
This is my last attempt on those Blockers....
