THese are going in Funny^6 and BA3B.
powerCON 32 A - Neutrik
Probably overkill, as they have a 20A version.
Got them for preamp😀

These would also work although not so nice looking
7 Pin Large Round Trailer Plug | Caravan 12v Plugs/Sockets | CaravansPlus
7 Pin Large Round Trailer Plug | Caravan 12v Plugs/Sockets | CaravansPlus
these are veery good looking
most of it very expencive
but something like this looks ok
btw, regarding the 8 pole Powercon mentioned
I suppose the 8 pole could never be connected to mains

......
I was thinking of the way it makes contact when connecting
that's exactly what I was thinking
Am i right in thinking i need 5 pin minimum?
so a pos and neg for each channel and a single earth for the chassis

the internal metal parts...or the way it locks ?
having bought both Speakon and Powercon, must say Im a bit disappointed
ok..its easy, and fast to use, and its safe
but the internal metal parts....Im not sure about that
btw, I also found the mentioned Amphenol and ITT Canon
but there others
Coninvers, Binder, Hirose...
all these I have found listed as Circular Connectors, for Industrie and Automation

For about $10 a set a nos ITT/CANNON/AMPHENOL is my favorite.
thank you very much for pointing in that direction 🙂

with 6 pin you can parallel them, and have better connection
suppose its a single stereo amp chassis
and single power supply for both channels
I see no reason to have seperate rails for each channel
they have to join somewhere anyway
Thanks Tinitus
thats what i was not sure about
my power supply has 4 rails so i could quite easily have a seperate rail per channel if needed
Wether or not its better i suppose will determine what i do
these look nice gold terminals and a nice secure connection , but i,m not sure about thier current rating

... nice secure connection , but i,m not sure about thier current rating
those are usede fro PC, printers, etc
known for having the worst possible pin connection
only the connector 'house' is secure
besides, its a low current design
IMO...I think the Amphenol and Binder connector looks good
I expect angled connector will be very practical for using shortest possible connection
maybe only 5A current rating, but using 6 pole, and paralllel in pairs for a 3pole connection, I guess it would be ok
Like these ?
1500vdc and 10a rating
Neutrik NC5MRXB 5Pin XLR Male - Right Angle - Black & Gold

You mean my last link ?
why not
cheers Sheafer
the XLR..?
mounting it with thick high current wire might get tricky ?
Yeah not sure
i thought the rating is plenty high enough for the application
mine will be used as an umbilical to f6 and f5 so i thought 10a is fine😕
those cannon ones look good Tinitus $35 smackers each over here though
