Open source Waveguides for CNC & 3D printing!

This is Satori 6 inch scaled uniformly to 1.18 to fit 2 inch broadband driver.
Horizontal directivity of 2 inch driver raw and then quick cross with 8 inch but no shelf yet.
Might be worth pursing but not sure yet. will probably add the shelf or notch and listen again.

Hello, i did also some try and error Waveguides for an Harwood AM25 AMT.

Last day i Printed my 4th design and it looks satisfying for me 😉

With 2 Scanspeak 18W 8434g00 parallel

and 1 or 2 Ripoles designed by Axel Ridthaler, with a little License fee 😉 so dont Ask for drawings, kontakt Axel 😉
Still need to build the first Ripol Prototype.

And yes, this kind of design is an DIY copy of an B&M design.

For Crossover I will use CamillaDSP on an Raspberry 5 (FIR Filter designed with Rephase) and MOTU Ultralight MK5 Interface with Hypex AMP Modules.
This i use already on my 3Way Setup 😉


What you guys think, will this work???

I will Provide it here.

I did already around 5 degre and 15 degre with this quick and dirty stile, and it was realy smoth but i want it abit more serious 🙂

Dipol as well with backside closed 😉

This is the Drawing from Beyma TPL Horn its 85mm deep so i am not that far away from it 😉 but 150mm and not 230mm Vertikel hight
and a lot cheeper LOL also the AM25 goes up to 36-40kHz -6dB

Look @this you realy could use the AM25 from 1,5 to 1,6kHz with an deep 72 dB FIR filter i gues. specialy for Home HIFI.
On the Disco side i guess 2 to 2,5 kHz for safety 🙂

So this way its also possible to make an Passiv XOver, thats without Waveguide.

Stepresponse (the first peak is not from HT itself, its to Fast i gues it comes from DAC or other Filter on Electronic side, but not sure):

AMT with Waveguide Backside Open 0 to 40 segree , Windowed 4ms with 1/6 Smothing:

Ok need to change the shape of that Waveguide, need to get rid of that Bump @ 4,5 kHz

The Waveguide need only to work from 3,5 to 1,5 kHz.
Red Line 0 degree on Axis
Magenta 40 degree

With DSP no Problem to handel it.
Passiv you realy need an 18dB Filter @ 2kHz minimum i guess.

Now i will play around with the backchamber and its Volume, also with the shape.

Last Measurment was with an Chamber, 3mm deep, completly filled with 3mm Felt. (Volumen: 15380.3445mm³)

And sure the Material (ASA) isn't the best for an Resonance free Enclousure, i will change it later and make it out off MDF.

Realy nice and Clean, only one "red" spot need to get Fixed, Measurment goes til 35kHz !!!

I guess i have found the right Enclousure for the AMT 😉
Volumen: 58399.6833 mm³

Enclousure Back Plate sealed with 1mm Rubberfoam 12mm deep filled with 12mm Felt:
