Eddy, they are selffmade B&G's with visaton AL200, powered by a marchand xm9 deluxe active crossover, with for the high my aleph 5 unbalanced and for the low my modified audioanalyse B90. In the future I wil make it all balanced, the connections are allready there. I did not connect the balanced, only the unbalanced. Michael it,s indeed an unbalanced attenuator, also for the future I will try two mono attenuators. I put the in- and output minus to star ground. Grtz Teake

Me too. Unbalanced and balanced source devices (DVD-A players, mixers, etc.) into multi-input, multi-channel pre-amp, then balanced out to the amp(s) ... = cleaner and more dynamic range of line level signals. (It is done in professional recording studios this way.)

Hi Zei!
No, no heatsinks, and I don't know how hot they get. I felt they get hot. But because they are not lyin on the board, and there is enough space to get the heat away, I think its not that big issuy. So I think I can do it this way, without damaging the mosfets, don"t you think? And besides the amp is still running for 3 days now. Grzt Teake

He KMJ. The big brown ones are 4700uf's 80V from nippon, and the 10uf's I told before, the 47uf's are 30uf audyn cap plus I had allready, over from a speaker project. The small blue ones are ERO 1837's for bypassing the audyn caps. It's something from the diy speaker- and tube world where they use them a lot. I think tey are pre to the sound, fabulous. teake

My 1.7's were powered this weekend. The 9610's are getting hotter than the 610's.
9610 get around 70 C and the 610's around 50 C.

This makes the circuit quite sensitive to inballance in a channel as function of airflow in the case.
I'm going to use a small heatsing to get the temp down to about 45 C and equalize the induvidual fets in temp.

@ 60V my 1.7 draws 77mA, so total dissipation of the fets is ~5W
per channel.
