I can use D1 ( zener 150V) when i use it, the SL not work.
I lost many many IRF 9610 ( it is died), I do not why ( i not fine Zener 150v i chang by didot R-2M.

D5,6,7,8 , it is ok! no problem

to day i can conect to phono 4, and listen! I think it is good!

What is didot R-2M? Mine works with a 150V 5A clamping Zener. Either that component you used is not suitable or you got a wrong positioning.

I use 1N5383. I see long traces, when I use it straight on the D to S pins underneath board. Can be some oscillation between nH of the traces and junction capacitances. Make a good test that your PCB build is reliable for 9610 in real life without the clamp and skip it if you can not solve it either by trying the original protection part or by making a test with it short legged and straight on D,S pins. Cathode to S. If you can not make it work with the clamp, delete it from board, if there is position, people will use it and lose Mosfets. You say the gate protection Zeners give you no problems, let it work on a real application, fully using all parts that work, and go through many on/off cycles. Not my business, but just my 2 cents of advice.

I has test The Simpler Simplistic Design by with Phono 4 of Andrea:
The sound is excellent!
i think Irf 9160 is better than IRFP9240.

I'm sorry Salas i do not use D1, still keep D5 to D8
