Jonathan Harris. He also had a great bit part in a Twilight Zone episode and apparently about 500 other appearances....

How do you get around the bad ft rating for the 2N1099? Only good for 10khz.2N3615 Work perhaps? Specs very similar to 2N1099 except TdP 77W vs 150W for 2N1099.
Too much to ask from an old horse? We don't push them anywhere close to limit but more options can only be good.

you have a measurements of an amp, as a whole
now, good for 10KHz, in which arrangement?
common emiter, common colector, common base ?

My wonderful amp get quite warm when running some hours, chassis gets close to the @#$~threshold…
What should I consider to be the limit before thinking about a babysitter or other measures?

300 hz or 10khz is probably not ft but the frequency where hfe starts to fall. 😉How do you get around the bad ft rating for the 2N1099? Only good for 10khz.

I get s measly reading of 44.5°C, HA!
This is with around 18°C room temp. In Summer I had something around 25° or so, but c'mon!
I knew I'm a sissy, but this...
