Thanks DDW! You've got a PM. Hope you're not drowning in them!!
Thanks to BlueFusion also! I do sympathise with how things can get out of control and seem to become an insurmountable task. Communication is critical with these things and letting people know early is always better.
Does this mean that you will collect the frontpanels when they are ready also? Just let us know what the agreement is between you both after you've had a chance to meet with him and collect the parts.

dont forget my 4 x batteries please DDW, thanks so much for bringing about some sort of resolution, i probably would have lost it some time ago.
Yup, I've sent my details through too.
Great job following this up ddw! Let us know what you need from us, you're doing a huge favour to everyone involved.

BTW, is the 12v power supply linked earlier putting enough voltage out for the amp?

So everything shall be gone.
At the moment I could only track down a few of you needing spare batteries - some have paid and some have not.
schlagzeuger - 2x extra batts
coolhead - 2x extra batts
sqveak - 2x extra batts
I already had Manzanita Cross & coolhead down for batteries already paid ?? which have been included.
Anybody who I have forgotten with the batts - I'll throw them in with your panels. My apologies.
At the moment I have the following spares that I would like to sell at a slight premium to offset costs. (not including any already claimed)
2x parts kits $30ea
12 batteries $6ea
3 spare enclosures & panels (replacement panels are available) $20ea
9 spare PCBs $6ea (although I expect 2 of those to go with the parts kits)
Shipping will be a 500g satchel unless you want more than 1 enclosure or a lot of batteries - so $6.60 (or $10.60 for >500g).
If I can find a buyer I'd very much like to sell a completed turnkey amp kit (including PSU!) which would come out of the available spares.
Due to the result of this GB i'm happy to send these out and wait till you receive them to take payment but if you pay upfront I'll spot you an upgrade to express post.
Now - for the wallwarts. I'd like to offer you first choice at my spares list in compensation. Unfortunately I did already spend some of that money on adaptors which are now sitting around doing nothing so if you want a handful of them you're more than welcome.
If any of you really want the money back right now, there's not much I can do until the spares (or complete kit) are all sold, or until my work comes good with all the extra xmas shifts they've been promising me. Remember I paid out of postage money for the refunds and am now paying out of wallwart money for the postage. I had originally hoped to make a pittance from this to offset my time spent working on it but that's since gone far into the red.
Thankyou all for your patience and I do apologize for not getting this all off sooner. I had imagined of including a small something extra in all your kits since it is nearly christmas after all but unfortunately that has taken a back seat to merely getting them all out.
If any of you are in adelaide in 2012 drop me a line and I'll buy you a drink. Assuming I have any money by then. 🙂
Any loose ends left untied? Of course there are, just waiting to see.

I want 4 x batteries please!
I should have known that my request for batteries would be 'missed', you had me down for them pretty much the moment you announced you had spare at $5each and was DEFINITELY counted, i then spent the next 3-4 weeks trying to get you to tell me how to pay and how much including shipping, ie whether your paypal was reinstated. i repeated that question at least 4 times and never got an answer. i started out pretty amiable, so there was no need for spite at that stage. i since decided that i would prefer to make some noise to get this thing moving and risk being ignored for the batteries and guess what...... my name is down on DDW's list for batteries, so i can only assume you have ignored the request on purpose
but for now, i would like DDW to pick up my 4 batteries and i'll sort him out. please make them available to him

Wow, where did the money go? I'm having a real hard time getting my head around these figures. 😕 😕 😕
Postage money - $481.24
Refunds issued to willmax and FredTheDog - $300.
Cost of 30 high quality power adapters (not the cheap 2 prong jobbies you get off ebay for under a buck) - 30 x $3 = $90
481.24 - (300+90) = $91 that should be left over from postage money alone. But now you're telling us you've dipped into the wallwart money to pay for the postage? I mean, have I forgotten something here? It doesn't add up.
And you still haven't informed us what's going on with the front panels. What's the plan there? Because if they never get mailed out that's another $500+ unaccounted for.
Wut?
Well, I'm not a psychic yet I'm pretty sure everyone wants their money back. But with the price of the spares only adding up to $246 I can't see how that's going to work. Maybe if you shared the finances I could put this crystal ball away.
Hmmm...it's really looking like you've used the funds for your own ends. Why else would you be offering to work extra shifts to pay it back?
You shouldn't be selling these parts at all, they were bought with money that doesn't belong to you and is owed to the group.
There is something you can do. Hand over all the spare parts to dontdiewondering along with everything else. Then as a group we can decide what to do with them - auction them between us or sell them. We just need someone responsible to take over the recouping of cash.
Really, I can't imagine anyone's keen to hand over more money to you after this debacle.

exactly why i'm not going to, if anyone gets my money it will be DDW. i wasnt keen to deposit money for the batteries into a bank account that seems to have been used as a student slush fund; all the time inserting little sob stories about only being able to work one day a week, sorry BF, we really dont care, your education is for YOU you finance if you want to reap the benefits. i think we will find there are other gaps that will appear.
Thanks for the messages, I'll be seeing BF 1 this afternoon, I have dodgy 3G cOverage at work so won't be on much til after lunch.
Cheers

BLUEFUSION PLEASE ADDRESS THIS!
You need to agree on a value for each panel. We have nominated $16.60 per panel. This is based on cost of panel machining per your spreadsheet and cost of replacement panels from e14. In the case that you post these we are then collectively owed 42*16.60~$700.
I'm confused by your post. Are you saying if we want to get extras then we pay shipping twice now?
I would like 1 x extra pcb and 4 x batteries please. If possible include these in the pack with rest of my order.
Can I also have 2 of the plug adapters with my order please?
I will be giving BF already stamped envelopes to post out the panels on e he gets them. I will probably do the same thing for the international guys unless they want me to sent everything once it's complete.
Plugpacks
If anybody is looking for a slightly cheaper plugpack from a brick & mortar shop, Altronics also sell 12V AC plugpacks in 500mA ($19) and 1A ($23) varieties. I think they're mainly based in Perth, but have shops in Sydney and Melbourne. I'll probably end up getting two of the 500mA ones.
For those looking for au plugpacks I've also tested the Jaycar - MP3026 output at 14.1V which should be sufficient. fordgtlover also tested an ebay plugpack back on page 28 or so if you want to trawl through some old posts.

The problem with allocating spare parts to a few people as full payment for the wallwarts is that the rest of the group will be left holding the bag. There's not enough to go around and cover the wallwart debt.
If BlueFusion hands over the spare parts and we set nominal prices on them:
Parts kits - $35.50 x 2 ($71)
Batteries - $7 x 12 ($84)
Enclosures + panels - $25 x 3 ($75)
PCBs - $10 x 9 ($90)
Power adapters - $1.50 x 30 (?) ($45)
Total nominal assets - $365.
Refund per power pack - $365 / 30 = $12.16
So if you have a power pack you can get $12 credit on spare parts, or wait till they are all sold and take the money. Two power packs, $24 in credit for parts that ddw can hopefully send out with the other parts.
Payment details would need to be sorted out though. I can broker the cash payments via bank/PayPal if required.
Prices need adjusting? A sound plan, or too complicated? Unfortunately it's gonna be messy any way you slice it.

Meeting BF at 130 at the malls balls in the city. I have asked him to bring everything he had so I can send the extras people want. Looks like I'll be carrying the can for the postage until BF can send me $$. I'm happy to do it the get the ball rolling. I will get as much in the post that I can tonight.
