Ritchie Havens, ¨the end of the beginning¨, vinyl, circa 1976.
Steve Miller Band, ¨book of dreams¨, vinyl, circa 1978.
Some music from a teutonic outfit called Rheingold, beautiful tecno rock, circa 1980. Vinyl too.
Crash Test Dummmies, ¨a worm´s life¨, cd, circa 1996
Bonnie Raitt´s ¨fundamental¨, cd, 1998. A very, very good sounding production of Mitchel Froom.
I spent the weekend listening to a lot of music.

The news stories showed an absolutely frightening picture of Bjork. I'm using it to discipline my 4 year old- he bursts into tears every time he sees it.
Don't you think that there's something unsightly about publicity-seeking do-gooders getting out of Gulfstreams and limos wearing $5000 suits...
Sorry to be cynical- this is very much not my kind of music.

Totally, SY, totally. But in any charity event, the main aim is to raise money/awareness, and if "Star" egos have to be pandered, then so be it. The world isn't perfect...

Just wow.... wow. Now that i've had it for a while i can say it's definitely one of my favorites of all time. Flawless songs, flawless production, and flawless performance. There's not a whole lot of albums i can througly enjoy from start to finish, but this is one of them.

Hard to describe... i'd say it's "modern" prog rock; if you like Pink Floyd there's a good chance you'll enjoy that album.
Ella and louis
I still can't get over how good this CD's sound quality is. Was recorded in 1956 the cd says meticulous restoration, so it's no doubt been cleaned up but it is really really good 🙂
