hi all,

I will continous this very low profit dac but will be a upgrade version.

improve: this several points.

1. the LPF & IV board will seperate the noise almost the lowest.

2. Power transformers will include, isolate power transformer.

3. contain USB input.

4. use Z11 Hi-B pre-amp output transformers output.

Pre-amp OPT will fully potted.

this will be a funish kit set.

diyers only need put into chassis & can not. Pls understand this is not the topest full balance version. But most diyers can afford.

thx

thomas

hi breizheau,

yes, I hope to use some of parts during development of the full balance dac. So the price can keep reasonable.

use 1+1:1+1 pre-amp ouput for the balance out. Z11 Hi-B core to keep in low price. If all the diyer use good & they can upgrade to 80% permalloy core version.

USB receiver for the DAC can longer lasting for this DAC.

seperate the LPF & IV will lower noise.

factory assemble will better funish for all diyers.

use iso power transformers to supply power will lower noise.

there will offer a upgrade space because still can use IV transformers & tube buffer ( 5687 catbode follower with capacitor output or remove the caps directly couple to the 1+1:1+1 pre-amp ouput but need to adj the current rating because op-amp only rating below 10ma, but the 5687 will rating over 15ma.

thx

hi olivier,

very thanks for your support,

since I visit several website in holland or germany & saw they using VTV tantalum resistors for their audio project & feedback was very good. I remember that this was another type of tantalum resistors from japan. Audionote UK's tantalum ressistors also from japan but this brand only remain 1/2 watts. I order full list already & will prepare for the upgrade parts for all diyers.

take a look of the photos I get on the Germany website.

they use VTV tantalum resistors for their tube amp kits.

thx

this VTV was from another source in japan. Price that I got them was quite good. so I will mix it for all of my kits coming. Hope diyers will love them.

U will see all of my pre-amp kits will use 100K ladder type volum which was finish by this VTV tantalum resistors.

photos show was tantalum resisotrs mix by Shinkoh & VTV.

all were 1/2 watts.

hi,

this is the small area for gathering in mongkok area. no.732 Nathan road. Enterance was beside Samsung telephone repair centre. 10/F. listening area will 11X14X9 feet. I will put two pair small speakers in here to test.

1. ensemble PA-1 & one pair diy speaker which was use ribbon tweeter with Thiel & partner C²220-T6 ceramic membrane woofer, seperate crossover. so if any diyers had diy crossover can take to here to test.

take look of the enterance of the small gather area.

My DA, Pre-amp, power amp Nano amorphous OPT will put in here.

since this is a gathering location only, if any oversea diyers business trip in hong kong can contact me to hear & take a cup of tea.
