in ebay one old S1 was over USD55, had risk,now taiwan offer to me is USD87 per chips But must accumlate at least 50 pcs. Otherwise this order will not success.
USD 105 was include paypal charge, posatge in airmail & reg.
Since this chips in interent was approx USD 120~130 per one.
pls considerate. It will better improve the dac, but pls considerate the chips./

USE OLD 1541 remark to 1541a.
Or remark to S1 or S2.
Bu U can the the ceremic will thinner because they polish the old words & remark the new one.
If in market U can get the 1541a S1 or S2 in cheap price. Pls take care.

so U will understand why I design the DAC use only one chips. Use multi-vchips had some regions had better performace but at least they cannot use the best chips because regarding the money of the chips. Japan the best zandan labs & marantz Project D-7, marantz DAC 7 all were max use two chips was must considerate the price of the chips.

I would like a price to ship the DAC3 kit with the upgraded caps. A price to swap out the standard TDA1541A to the TDA1541a S2, If you can supply a U.S. version (110V 60hz) transformer, and a CS8414 receiver chip and maybe a cd transport kit. I have not read all previous pages so I need to be up on all this so I can decide on all options before I can send money. Please advise on any other options for this.

The standard 1541a was cost USD 10 only. I still suggest Uget them together to test for the dac , after running the dac steady.
than change the chips U will know the better of the performance improve. U will hear 10~15% improve.

Since he said that 9713 date code was the best of the TDA1541a S2 because this date code was under japan manantz & zandan lab standard & request for them to further selection.
At last we agree the total pcs if reach 50pcs will had max 7% discount.
If reach 100pcs will had 10% discount, sorry no more. This is the best that I can do. I will share the postage of the chips & insurance to all the ordered diyers.

My IV was design running in ad797,627 & 5534 will better, since change this Op will had different result. in my opinions.
5534 ( must philips, most expensive but will much better than TI or JRC, U can test & compare)
AD797, balance sound stage but less detail than opa627.
OPA627 was the most slient OP-amp since opa627 was not design for audio use, will lower noise than ad797 & 5534. more detail, better HF & LF, but will less musical than two chips.
If U cannot work with other chips, pls check the adapter, some time will not good contact. pls use the meter to check the op-amp adapter & DAC PCB good contact or not.
After U test for op-amp & know which chips U like the most. I suggest U directly solder into the PCB, will improve little bit.
But final that U like to improve much more was change to 1541aS2. there will had 10~15% increase, special in the MF, more density, smooth & 3D. bass will little deeper, HF of the piano will more solid. If compare to the 1541a, R1 & S1. S2 will little bright than 3 grade of chips or said 3 grade of chips will had little dim sound if compare with the s2. This is all my opinions.
