Horizontal pull problem

Hi Everybody

Most of u guys facin the horizontal pull problem when using 16:9 LCD. If u r suppyling the video source from computer, u may use a player called zoom player, where u can stretch both vertically and horizontally, so if u think ur picture is pulled horizontally, u may use the player and adjust the horizontal size for the pictures , games or photos or any other things using this player.

after the purchase lens and fresnel thru mastero, i am planning for a good lcd display it should have good contrast ratio 8 or 9 inch with dvd input and good resolution.
help me guys 16:9 or 4:3 display is good. lots of members are reporting 4:3 content is streched in 16:9 is there any way to control this.

I really wonder why so many guys face the problem of 16:9 streching the image. I have used a 16:9 LCD for my projector and it works just perfect irrespective of whether the CD / DVD is 4:3 or 16:9. Maybe it's because I have a setting in the setup of the DVD player (PIONEER) which allows me to choose between 4:3 letterbox mode or 16:9 wide screen mode. Besides my LCD also has a mode setting wherein I can select 8 different modes, right from 4:3 to 16:9. My recommendation: It makes sence to buy a 16:9 LCD as all new movies come on a 16:9 format DVD. Look for a type of LCD similiar to mine, that allows switching between different modes, or just get a 16:9 compatible DVD player.

New projector from India !

Maks you are absolutely right my 7" LCD is also 16:9 or 4:3 and can easely be switched with the touch of the remote also alot of the movies are in the 16:9 screen ratio i too have many settings on my control panel of my LCD why is everyone worried about the screen ratio just get one it doesn't matter which one as you can convert to whatever you need .There are also things called prisms. Here is a link to everything you could ever want or need!!One very important thing to keep in mind is the bigger the LCD the better the resolution recommended 10" or around there.READ READ READ TILL YOUR EYES BLEED!!!http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?&CODE=00

What is the native resolution for your widescreen LCD screen?

Thanks Mastero, got the packet today.

I am really disappointed by the quality of Projection lens. These lensel people seem to be making triplet from used lenses. It has lots of scratches, dust and even the lens is chipped at the edges. I don't know how much all these will affect the projection quality.

New projector from India !

The native resolution is 640+480 venture portable DVD .Loaded with all the features. That is why i would like to get my hands on a 15"LCD the pixels are noticable at a close 10'FT away and my room is not that big so everything is close up.In order to make the image ideal i need to take it out of focus a little in order to get rid of the screen door effect.

What is the maximum watchable screen size you are achieving with your setup. I am asking this because I need to decide between a 15" monitor or a 640x480 portable LCD TV.

Hey cool_1.... mine too is 640x480 resolution loaded with tonnes of features... but there's absolutely no screen door effect. The distance is 15 ft. Just wondering, why do you face the trouble?

New projector from India !

The distance between the screen and the closest seating arrangement is about 6 feet .The farthest seating arrangement is about 13 feet away from the screen.I will be posting allot of pictures of the entire setup very very soon. The projected image is 90" from corner to corner. Also I've added a digital meat thermometer between the LCD and the first Fresnel. And the current temp is 115 Fahrenheit i have also changed the power supply for the fans to 18 volts and added a rotary on off to raise or lower the voltage and wattage to the fans so they run a little quieter as my new bulb throws very little heat. Also i have just ordered a 4"concave mirror to use as a reflector. However if i take the image just a little out of focus the image is awesome perfect colors clear image and no screen door effect!
