Well, I'm certainly not first one to ask Modushop Team is there solution for slim Monoblock case ..........
Anyway , recently I did chat with our Italian friends ...... and thet are evidently willing to do something

Basic idea is to have 4U/400 case, but narrower

Entire package, (hoping they did understood my ZMEngrish) consisting of 3 iterations:

1. first logical iteration is one side having 4U/400 heatsink ( I don't care is it one piece or two) , while other side being blank plate ; you can orientate it by wish, so wth pair having one right and one left enclosure

2. second logical iteration is heatsinkless case, intended for separate PSU ( don't ask, I'm first one thinking of pair of cases per side, just as Demonstration of Force, if not necessity) ....... so penny-pinchers among Greedy Boyz can make one (pair) of mono PSUs and zillion of channel cases, then combine them Till End of Time

3.third logical iteration is both sides having heatsink, so you can squeeze nicely thought elegant Beauty of Amp inside ........ from whichever reason - easier to smuggle by Kerber, or esier to put more of them on shelf ..... or you just like them that way

set of preliminary pictures enclosed, raw finish, not anodized .........

my Vote goes to front plate (as usual) covering entire width, including heatsinks

What ya say ?

Basic dimensions are sorta carved in stone ( zillion Greedy Boyz, zillion and one opinion) so don't bother to change that; what I'm asking now is - what you say for width of front plate ........... and do you have any (useful and beneficial!!) idea to add?

Unification reasons (price for Greedy Boyz) - dimensions of "cage" itself must be the same for all 3 iterations;
Now - I like idea of full width front for case with one and 2 sinks, I like the same for heatsinkless one - when looking them in pair, and I'm sorta ambivalent when thinking about empty space behind wide front plate without sinks; so...... as always - compromises.........

I'm sure Gianluca will chime in, to give you details about width of case ...... I deliberately left that for him

And yes, 'Talians - Danilo Petrucci is first man alive, after having 2 MotoGP victories, also claiming victory in Dakar stage for motorcycles

Go figure; it must be something in the air or water, in Italy

:)

edit, much later: one thing I did forgot - having base plate for these is also important detail .......

Excellent work!!! I look forward to these becoming available!!

I like the idea of the front plate covering the heatsink.

I also hope there is an option for a "deluxe" backplate with IEC, speaker post, and input jack(s) pre-cut.

I'm pretty sure the greedy boyz will also demand pre-drilled UMS heatsinks.

I like these. Maybe I will finally get around to putting some amp parts to use if I could get these.

The only comments are:
I think it would look nicer if the faceplate also covered the end of the heatsink, for example in this picture it looks a little odd if that is supposed to be the "front":

Also, I like the look of the dual heatsinks for the FRONT, like as in this image:

I like. Prefer to have face plate cover the heat sink but face plate as-is is acceptable to me.

A wide face plate to cover one sided heat sink could have two sets of screw holes. One set for single side heat sink, and another set for no heat sink with the face plate centred and protruding equally on both sides. If heat sinks are on both sides, then part of the heat sink on both sides would be visible.

if I understood correctly idea of CharlieLaub - if one wishes heatsink-front orientation (as Quad 405), so no need for regular 10mm thick front, I believe there is always a way to arrange that (swap thick one to thin one) with Modushop team

I'm not so sure that plenty of Boyz will choose that, so maybe there is no need to have it as regular option

one thing I did forgot - having base plate for these is also important detail .......

Thank you all for your enthusiasm and passion! :)

I'm sure Gianluca will chime in, to give you details about width of case ...... I deliberately left that for him

As Mighty Zen Mod has already described, the chassis is a narrower 4U/400. Height and depth remains the same but the width is about 210mm.

And baseplate would be nice too!!
Best,
Anand.

Yes, our idea was to also produce an inner baseplate which can be easily mounted on the "internal cage"

I also would prefer for the front plate to cover the heatsink.

Question: Does that mean there will be different front plates for the different configurations?

We are still considering this. From what I can see everybody seems to prefer a panel that covers the whole surface of the heatsinks so we may go this way.

I also hope there is an option for a "deluxe" backplate with IEC, speaker post, and input jack(s) pre-cut.

I'm pretty sure the greedy boyz will also demand pre-drilled UMS heatsinks.

Yes, producing some extra rear panels with the usual Deluxe layout should not be an issue.

As always, we are open to suggestions on how to improve the final product :)

A big thank you to Mighty ZM for helping us with this from the beginning :D

Magnificent work as usual!

I am interested. But why settle for one PSU case? If going this route I want two :) and voila, perfect for monoblock 6 deep BA-3/BBA-3.

Hey! I was going to write Gianluca about a possible mini dissipante 4U/300 for my pair of F4 to use as balanced monos but this looks even better!

However, the lack of UMS heatsinks would be a deal breaker for me.

Ideally for option 1-2 one would like a small front and blind back panel. For option 3 a large front panel and pre drilled back panel.
