Any news on being able to supply the Purepath GDE .pfw files?
Also, any news on the patch set for the kernel?
Yeap we can provide you the DSP files.
https://github.com/allocom/linux for the driver.
Our team is checking if the DAC CLK is driven by SCK or PLL...
Any news about this?
On another matter, I connected my IQAudio PiDac + to the Kali and supplied pin1 on the Dac board with 3v3. Definite improvement to the sound with Kali in place I thought, but not quite up to the level of Kali+Piano Dac.
Hi ,
we are working still on this...so what we have found so far is that PLL of DAC IC has to be set (mck or bck)...then DAC SK mux is in autodetect . Our testing so far... dont take this as 100% tested...is that DAC SK might take the outside SCK when present. Anyway , we will post soon the final results.

Hi,
Is there a way to control reclocker buffer length by software ?
I'll like to have the possibility to disable FIFO latency for certain usage scenario (real time network audio) and to re-enable normal buffering for normal reclocked listening.
Is it doable ? Is the reclocker board addressable via I2C or SPI from SBC ?
Thank you,

Hi, i have kali (witch 42/44 clocks)+ i-sabre v2 , i tryed 32 /384 with advanced jernel in moode 3.0, but doesnt work, lights on kali start blinking...defective unit or something else?

You cannot change/disable the buffer
I leaved only the kali on rpi but the problem remain..Hi, i have kali (witch 42/44 clocks)+ i-sabre v2 , i tryed 32 /384 with advanced jernel in moode 3.0, but doesnt work, lights on kali start blinking...defective unit or something else?

ehm...i put again kali plus dac and now works... i dont know if before i wronged something or what.. in any case if should happen again ill send you order number..Please send me a PM with your order number
I want to take this opportunity to say thanks for the great piece of hardware, it really improved the quality of sound!
Hi ,
I heard before of problems on RPI connectors...when just plug in-plug out and it works.
Thx you for your kind words. I appreciate it .

ok, well not ok actually. I've made a Volumio sd card image to be able to alter the crossover frequency. Selected piano dac 2.1 and crossover at 100Hz. Result: volume of sub is always 100% does not respond to Volumio software volume. Monitors do respond to volume control. And dspflow is now corrupt, I think. Went back to Moode audio 3.0, volume does respond to both sub and monitors. But there is no crossover anymore. Monitors get the full frequency range. 🙁
(Raspberry pi2 - kali 44/48 - piano dac 2.1)
I did a request at TI for pure path studio, but that has been denied. Second attempt to obtain the software has been sent. fingers crossed

I've just ordered a Piano 2.1 so I do very much hope there's going to be a way of controlling sub plus main speakers in tandem?
It does control volume in tandem, no worries.
In my case something went wrong with changing the dspflow.

That's good. Thanks.
Hi !
I want to share here my great satisfaction with this Fifo clocker. It helps me to connect an external DAC AK4495SEQ to a Raspberry PI2 via I2S. Due to the fact that the AK4495 DAC has no clock, I use the pin 29 MCLK and the DAC works nice in synchronous mode with KALI.
The Mamboberry DAC+ was on top of the KALI before. So switched off, removed it, connected the 5 wires comming from AK4495 to KALI conector, switched everything on, and it immediately started to sing ! Still Mamboberry driver in use with Moode 2.7. Changed nothing on software side.
I am blown away by the new sound, some additional details and better stereo . It's for me a new level of quality even with this cheap implementation of the AK4495. Was not sure it will work, but finally it was easy. KALI is indeed a very good piece of hardware. And AK4495 seems to be a good one too.

Cool stuff @greinedo
I have a few side projects experimenting trying to utilize the kali also!
On Mike Moffat's baby multibit Dac:

(Kinda specific... but kali related 🙂 )
What AKM board is that?
