Ahh, and finally the payments are streaming in by the dozen! 🙄 😀Mark A. Gulbrandsen said:Just bumping this back up.

Initial orders are now CLOSED!

OK folks. This order is now officially CLOSED. That doesn't mean you've missed the boat if you haven't put in your order yet, but orders for the initial re-distribution are now closed.
Secondary to this announcement, I want to note that I have a lot of emails to answer still, so if you haven't received a reply from me yet, just be patient... if you've sent in your request by email already, then you will be included in the initial re-distribution.
If you didn't make it in by the deadline, then please just STOP, and WAIT for me to post further instructions please! Your turn will come, but I need your cooperation to help me keep organized, and so that everything proceeds in an orderly fasion such that everyone gets a fair chance to buy the leftover boards.

Also, a final note for those who paid via Bidpay / Western Union Auctions...
Normally, I send confirmation emails when your money order arrives in the mail, just like other mailed payments. However, Western Union has been extremely slow to mail them to me. Therefore, many of you are still waiting for confirmation. Because of this, what I'll be doing shortly is going back through the emails and replying to you that I have received electronic notification of your payment approval. At least this way you won't be left waiting too much longer. 🙄 So give me a day or so, and I should have those emails sent out.

SPAM filters
I just thought I'd remind you guys that mail from Chad might be trapped in SPAM filters, as it seems to have done to mine. I sent him a new mail just to clarify if he had recieved my payment.
He had, and assured me that everything was in perfect order.
Lett me just say thanks to Chad for answering me so fast to help me clarify this. But most off all THANKS FOR DOING THIS Chad 😉 😎 !

Group Order Update!

OK, time for an update... I've got some good news and some bad news, so let's get the bad out of the way first:
Unfortunately, my helper in Seattle who is kindly hosting me while the PCB shipments arrive and I re-pack and ship them out has been called away on business during the first week of February. This will mean a short delay at the beginning of the month before I will be able to send out the boards. Depending on how long he is away on business, this may amount to nothing more than a two or three day delay, though it could be as much as a full week. Now that wasn't really all that bad, was it?
And now for the good news... since a small handful of people have insisted on sending payment to me after the deadline despite my announcement, and also due to the aforementioned delay freeing up some additional time for me in terms of scheduling, I've decided to re-open orders for the first shipment. 😎 However, I will be accepting PayPal ONLY. If you missed the first deadline, and were waiting to get in on the extras, well here's your chance to get into the main order! Dont' bother editing the wiki at this stage, as it is no longer needed. I will be accepting these new orders up to and including January 31, however, I will be away on and off in the meantime, so you may not receive an immediate reply confirming your order and receipt of payment.

Just a quick addition to those comments... the Jan 31 cut-off means that your paypal must be received and cleared (depending on how you've sourced the funds for the payment) by the afternoon of the 31st at the latest.
Just kicking this back up to the top to keep people aware of the re-opened order... Final cutoff is approaching soon!
And just a reminder.. I'll be away for a few days , arriving back on Jan 31st. So if you don't hear from me in the meantime, it's no cause for alarm... I'll respond to everyone when I return.

OK, folks. The order is now CLOSED again. If I haven't received your payment by now, it is too late... I will not be able to process it in time to include you in the first re-shipment. However, I will post an announcement when I am ready to begin accepting orders for the leftovers.
In the meantime, there are a few people who have sent payment to me recently. I will send a reply confirming your orders some time in the next 24 hrs.
Thanks to everyone who ordered, our total is now over 1100 PCBs! This should cover all of the manufacturing and re-distribution expenses for all 1400 boards I ordered, so after this, sales of the remaining PCBs will be pure profit toward our beloved forum!

😎
My next report will be after or during re-shipment of the boards next week! Almost there... 😀

Hi Chad: Received my four boards yesterday. they are beautifully done and arrived in perfect condition. MANY thanks to you for all your efforts. Also, please pass along thanks to any folks who helped in the mailing...I know I got mine from a fellow in Seattle, sending them along for you. I must be inside one of the closest areas relative to the production point.
I must say the board looks a little more intimidating than my Zen4 in terms of parts count, but I am sure the result will be worth it. Now if I can just find a couple of transformers at the correct voltage and current ratings without breaking the bank, I'm set.
Thanks again.

😱 Wow, that was quick... I just got back from Seattle moments ago. In the end, the logistics of sending out multiple parcels to various re-shippers proved more problematic than just doing it myself (but thanks anyways to those who volunteered to help). So, I made the trip down to Seattle and got all the re-packing and shipping done with my friend Ryan, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude for all his assistance; it would have been very difficult without him.
All 1175 boards in the main order have now been shipped. Most US orders went out on Monday, and all the internationals plus remaining US orders went out yesterday (Feb 10). The vast majority of these are going by Priority mail, and should arrive within roughly a week. 🙂
I have some accounting to do here, to tabulate the trip costs and shipping expenses... I think we're past the break-even, and may have some funds for the forum. I'll report back when I have a chance to sit down and tabulate the receipts. The remaining 224 boards (we had one board with minor damage) will be up for sale shortly.

Mark,
I know. My Zen is sooooooooo close. All I need is a tranny and some nice wood for the case. Maybe I'll assemble the X boards for now, so I will have something to shoot for.
Cheers,
Zach
