I think it is a case of "defiant" "definiteness"! 🙄
Thanks guys for all your help with the GB.

I'm thinking about using two of these for my PD A30. Any comments? Think it will be enough?
The mounting plate is 12" x 4 3/4" x 5/16", the tunnel is 4.25" tall. 120V fans, which I will replace with 12v's, and add variable speed functionality.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

You know, looking at it, I could use four, three transistor per heatsink. Still be pretty small package for an A30.

If you could get 4 and use them i would do it.. Peter said his got really hot right away and his heat sinks are much bigger and thicker base. So for you i would use 3 transistors per heat sink with a small fan pushing the air *into* the heat sink. A steady air flow should be just perfect too. 😀
More pics of parts posted, parts arrived today from Mouser.

Caps came today, here are some pics of my first finished board. I will likely order some 40mm caps for my other boards. These are 30x52 mm and are included in the kits.
I have already sourced some nice CDE SNAP-IN ALUM CAP 35V 47000uF BULK 40x63 for $14 CAD each, but I have to buy 50 of them, ouch. 🙂
or
CDE SNAP-IN ALUM CAP 50V 39000uF BULK 40x80 for $16 ea CAD min. order 50.

(This one is min order 100 NCNR)
I would be interested in coordinating a GB for 200 to 500 pcs for the first four. There are a lot of variables to consider when trying to narrow a choice to one.
105 or 85 Deg.
35 - 50 - 63 VDC
Must be Snap In
Must be Max width 40mm x ??(Height a consideration)
Price Range based on min 200 pcs - Target $8 to $16 CAD.

Aleph X parts?
Excuse me if this is out of line, but I've got some Aleph X boards from the last GB, wondering if the parts overlap and if so I'd be interested in getting in on some parts. Especially matched power MOSFETs even if the other parts are not available. Is this possible?
I'd discuss offline or online.

Pick up as in drive over? I'll pass(punn intended) since I'm in Dallas.
Or is GTA "greater Toronto area"?
Will kits be mailed out soon?

Well GTA is "Great Toronto Area", but somehow I still think Dallas may be outside of that.
I will be mailing the Mini A kits and PSU kits, probably next week, but I will only be mailing them for North East US and Eastern Canada and Europe. Jason will be mailing the rest, we are trying to minimize shipping costs, I am under the assumption he has not collected all of the shipping funds as yet.
This is why the call for Pick Up service in the GTA if convenient.
