ok, the ordering is going to begin next week. I need to know how many people would rather have 33,000 mf caps and pay a extra 7$ per cap or are people happy with the 15,000 mf caps for the psu ?
Coulomb has joined me to help me pick out all proper parts and higher grade caps and resistor's.
please speak up if you would rather send more money to me and get the 33,000mf caps rather than the stock caps @ 15,000 if we get more than 11 people then we can get theses caps for the price anthony was quoted at.

I second that. I'm still waiting for information about the shipping price and how to send my payment.
Can somebody make it clear for once, please?
You can email me and still get in if you missed it.
Also this cap the 33,ooomf ones will only get into the works if we can get 60 of them or more.

it's 6 x 15,ooomf cap's for each psu board..
I'm in...I think
HI!
I've sent $55 US and await notification for shipping costs. This for one Aleph 30 parts kit. Thanks, Jason.

The 33,000 uF caps Jason is speaking of is of a form factor that would allow 6 to be mounted to Brian's board. So you could have 6 of one or half a dozen of the other. You could even mix and match if you want to be a wild and crazy DIY!

1-9 $38.42 each
10-49 $34.58 each
Type: Y236758 (18+18V @ 330VA)
1-9 $45.71 each
10-49 $41.14 each
Type: *Y236801 (25+25V @ 500VA)
1-9 $60.06 each
10-49 $54.06 each
*This item is recommended for the 400VA requirement. It is a standard and is should be available from stock. This unit would run cooler and offer better regulation and be more economical than a custom 400VA.
Thank you for the opportunity to quote on your requirement. Let us know how to best meet your transformer needs.

Check here for pics of the parts collected so far. The small packs of caps are just for reference, could not get them all in the frame.

It's just the link that changed Jason, the folder name is the same.

As some of you may have realized, I am purchasing the parts for Jason's Group Buy. He of course will have the hard work of Kitting, I have the unenviable task of matching the damn FET's. They have to be matched by wieght correct? 🙂
There is a global supply shortage of IRFP240 devices, there is Inventory in the Distribution Channel, but only at 3rd tier. The Inventory in Distribution, and there is a lot of it, is in small quantities across the Continent.
1st Tier suppliers have little or no inventory and IRF is not quoting delivery dates. 1st tier has better pricing and usually deals in very large quantities, I have contacts as I have been purchasing components for 15 years now.
I propose we switch to the IRFP140N, which is available in large quantities from my suppliers. I think I would have to act fast as this device may soon be on allocation as well if IRF does not release delivery dates for the IRFP240 soon.
Specs.
IRFP140N - Ic1400pF, Oc330pF, Tc170pF, 0.052RDS, 100V, Id33A
IRFP240 - Ic1300pF, Oc4000pF, Tc130pF, 0.18RDS, 200V, Id20A
If the lower operating Max voltage is acceptable the 140N, (NOT TO BE CONUSED WITH THE OLDER 140 device), is a superior part. With only 100pF more input capacitance and 70pF less output capacitance, it is a lower resistance and higher current device.
