I also got lucky with the drivers' routings... the Fane fit perfectly, I only have to find screws with a smaller head. A perfect drop-in replacement

And what? 😀
If you guys have questions, just ask! For now all I can say is that the €160 I spent for the woofers were a great investment 😎

I hadn't had my dual Fane 12-250TC on for a while due to building some subs and listening to those with tweeters.
I must admit I had forgotten how good these Fane 250's sound.
Plenty of bass and plenty of top.

Yeah, I wonder if I did the right thing to mix with the 12 200 but I guess I did due to the on-axis response of the TC (probably too much highs).

I must say :
I think the Fane comes closest to ' full range '
as opposed to ' extended range '
for any driver I have heard ........................

Yeah, and in the right cab it's not bass-shy at all. I think it would shine for home use with a tube amp, expecially for acoustic guitar albums.
Yeah, and of course they're loud for home use, so a low-power tube amp would be enough for loud stuff. Very nice stuff, again. Recommended.
My only doubt is: does it have less xmax than the "regular" 12 200? 'Cause I mixed them, but I wonder if two TCs together would have been even better.

Good to know hitsware, thanks. The similar Eminence 12LTA is close but IMO needs a tweeter to top it off. I love the 12LTA but would have purchased the Fane if I had known to stay truer to fullrange.

It's an old SWR Bigfoot... if you search with Google you'll find all the dimensions in inches but there's nothing about the tuning. I think it's tuned around 50hz, has two front ports approx 4" wide and 1" deep.

This is how the cab looks. The woofers share the same volume.

weird, another dust capped whizzer.
Think someone else here had luck cutting the one off the celestion (if I remember).
I'm having luck with my 250tc run in parallel with a 4x12 ppsl.
Using a 10 band eq, it works well on a single amplifier channel (due to the 4x12's a little louder than fane).
Adds nice midbass to my huge room.
I can see how 2x12" per side can work (with subs) for a portable small pa.
I'd active cross them for a whole lot more volume potential though.
Can't wait for my double fane.
Not expecting more bass, just a bit cleaner.
I'm even thinking a monster 4x12" line array someday !!!!!!!!!!

there used to be "toy" pa cabinets in the 1970's with 2-12 CTS whizzered ancestor of 12LTA plus typically a KSN1005 piezo or 2. I like the Fane but haven't returned to it. That old Monacor looks like it shares a frame with the old P-Audio BM12CXA coax - this coax isn't sounding great - may be the plastic grille cloth - network, everything - lol

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
