Nec 1545 problem

It's like the most beautiful day of my life!!! It's all working fine!!

Execpt one thing, my picture is in the wrong side. I mean, it's like a mirror, but I think this is just because I put the LCD in the wrong side, the controler should be pointing back, and not pointing front like I did. I'll just turn the plexis tomorow!

For now I'm going to sleep, I need it!!! lol

Well when I grounded it, I did a short and I didn't saw it. I re-did the grounding and now it powers up.

The image quality is amazing! I did some testing in my bedroom with a small 30" pictures or the matrix Reloaded. Now I have to set up my screen and watch it on a 100" screen!! 🙂

Edit: but for now, I'm cuting the plastic edge of my Elmo to have a bigger display, and I'm building a more "static" version of my projector with plexi and wood

Ok, everything is working. But I have a question

Maybe those who use the same setup as me can help.
My stage glass is a little warm, my plexi is even less warm, I have a 1 cm gap between the two, but my LCD is HOT! Doesn't seems do affect the image.. yet. So is it normal that the LCD get hot?!

what OHP are you using? if you are using halogen based OHP (500-600 watts) i would strongly recommend you get external fans or use it for VERY short periods of times or just stop it alltogether. keep in mind LCD monitors are not meant for projection...and they can fry easily(so i've heard) my LCD panel gets warm but it has an internal fan to cool it.

i hope you dont save your LCD jsut to find out its fried...lol

good luck!

Many people are using this setup, like proto5 or klg85 ( something like that lol )

Just want to know if it's normal, cause I don't want to fry it.
For now I don't use it for this reason.

When I make the 'case' for lcd screen, I would lift lcd away from stage ( I think you already did), then use a small fan or a slot fan like this one: http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/viewproduct.asp?ProductID=CAS-EXHAU to blow cold air between stage and LCD. also I hear a sheet of polarizing film can take away heat from LCD. you might try to put one on the stage too.

I've watched 2-3 hour dvds with my 1545 @ 135 degrees F, no damage SO FAR!

Be careful. The damage comes slowly and gradually. The pixels don't really die. They just lose the ability to block light. I've watched 10-20 hours of DVDs and 20-40 hours of playing Xbox on it.
