Chill on the mega-posting at least until you build something and EARN some respect from the group. I'm an EE by trade and can tell you in no uncertain terms that some of your posts are really "out there". And you tend to come across as a "guru" to the newbies by using others hard work and research.

property if u had a brain u would understand that no manufacturer or engineer has made a refigerated comp for home use, the others who have are guru's and takes the risk into their own hands, yeah sure we take risks too but we dont post stuff to put others in harms way, i made a post on some wirring but i stated that this is dangerous if u dont know what u are doing, that way atleast u have a warning, for those who know electronics it can be an idea for them who didnt think of it before me, it does not make me smarter than proto who is a ee by trade or anyother in here except u because of your stupidity and not comprohending in what danger lies ahead not only for u but others too, this is a forum for the last time, it is about diy projectors, we dont want danger and we dont want crap, this is our learning place where we get our info from and ideas that are shared other then from other internet sources. The first thing that I am going to say is that I think that you have an innovative mind. You are really trying here, and I think that one day you will come up with something that is really good (you are bound to, as many as you have). I think that the problem that most people are having including me, is that we dont want to see you posting on every thread. When I enter the forum, I read every post every day, and I refresh the screen several times every day. What I do not look forward to seeing when I refresh the screen, and take the trouble to load up a new window, is some conversation topic that has nothing at all to do with projectors. There are several other people that I am having a problem with as well, it is not just you. Lets keep the useless chit chat to a minimum in here, save that crap for the chat room, we do enough of that in there. So, keep up the ideas, because I enjoy reading those a lot more than I like reading some stupid one-liner.

Spinnaker, you bring up a good point. There is way too much chit chat on the forum. Hell, i do it too sometimes... I'm probably even one of the people you hate to see 🙂. I too am aggrivated when i see half the forum has been replied to by property, and 60% of the time it is useless jabber he has posted and the rest is a nearly direct quote from another member to answer a question he propably does not really know much about (such as resolution). I do think that protery could pump out some great ideas if he actually built a projector, but really? Will it happen? I'm starting not to think so. And property, i say this, we were all newbies at one time (I still am one in may aspects of diy projection), let me tell you this; start acting like one untill you have some actual experience... then the bragging rights will follow 🙂.
We should give him 30 days to prove his case! Lets him prove to all of us that he can make a projector (be it fridge cooled or not) that will blow the competition away! Any one want to gamble on this? I'll put down an nview projection panel 🙂.

Well said...I will listen to your advice since you put it so well...
I think something has to be pointed out though:
We all bring different strengths and weaknesses to this forum. Some of us may have loads of knowledge in some areas and know jack-all in others...That's what's great about the forum. For instance i noticed very early on that ACE-3000 is quite good at electrical circuitry, and I was looking forward to asking him his advice when I got to that point...But not anymore.
There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to start insulting or dismissing people out of hand and vocally for whatever weaknesses you may perceive. I had not done it up to this point though i had read a few questionable things (maybe a bad joke or two like "I'll put a curse on you giving you giant ear hair for asking that question again" or "Your projector looks like a nuclear device" or something, but nothing overtly mean and that could not be understood in context as a joke).
And up until yesterday i thought that what was great about this forum is that everybody seemed fairly civil and avoided insulting each other.

property nobody hates u and i dont hate u but people are sick of u and the posting, some of your ideas are great but some wont work just that, and i think like a few people said it is best u make one to get some hands on experience to learn in a practical manner before posting too much stuff that has been coverd or that are others ideas, i can see what your doing with the newbies by telling them what to do and going on our info for what we have learnt but i think they would also like to contribute as they found the info for them selfs or made the idea, all people are property is sick of u posting so much, i posted quite a fair bit too and yess crap too but the ideas i have posed have a logic that they will work and they are fairly simple ones to mod what people already have to be that bit better for them, not some way out design that is so diff from what we do, we have coverd alot in here from led light to mh lights to the best lcds for the best price and dismantling and lenses and so on but we cant abuse it property buy being the only who posts before others have a chance to post who realy do know from practical experience, thats basically what it is and at times yess it does get ignorant in here with newbies but they know the rules when they join and are expected to atleast lknow the basics before they start to ask questions, those who dont anr those we dont like or ar ignorant too or sick off i should say, and the reason we are like this is cos its a big distraction from when we are trying to move forward on somthing we are always forever going back just that, no one hates no one there is a time and place for everything and u just need to learn that including jokes.
