Ok, so it's "normal" at some point..
Did you see some domage at all with your 40-60 hours using it?

Well, you know, you guys should be keeping your LCDs in their optimal temperature ranges......130F is WAY too hot.....Maybe sticking them in mini-fridges with a hole cut out of the top?

LOL is this one of your many jokes, prop? good one lol....umm you ARE kidding ...right?'
keep in mind they are two points of temperature dangers...cold and hot...freezing a computer panel would be be worse..
why not try submersible water coling? or even ice cubes,

hmmm, maybe a cooler? with ice pak in it? Must me big enough to place the projector as well, and to keep the hot air coming out from the OHP out of the cooler, without heating ice, would be some kind of exaust.
Well.. in other words.. it building a cold case 😛

how much would one of those cost? i dont know but i think it would cost more than a retail projector and altogher destroy the purpose of DIY.
No way man! College Students are always selling their used dorm mini-fridges for less than $50....But one with a good temperature control would be a necessity.
forget about using a frigde to cool your LCD and your beers while watching sports, just use liek 3-4 fans..simple and cheap and no melting ice....lol
how bout you use a home fan, those BIG ones made for cooling humans (not poultry😉 ) soem one did that with their Apollo 1000 and his OHP is way hotter than yours.
don't forget about condensation......the fridge idea will almost guarantee condensation on the panel
Condensation
Not if it has a good temperature control. Then you could adjust the temperature to avoid condensation. Also you can keep moisture out by making it very air tight...That way you also keep dust out and improve the efficency of the fridge. Maybe a little hole to suck out the air with a vaccum.
And those mini-fridges can be found EVERYWHERE for VERY cheap...so no worry about cutting a hole in the sucker.

it would be COOL if you tried one of those bad boys( no pun intended lol) so prop, what is your current cooling method? wich one of your many genius ideas are you wielding? you sound very knowledged your Projector must be an Imax! cooled by an underwater frige and ice. 🙂
