NAIM NAIT 2 DIY

Good news. As lazy as it sounds ( I kind of like it ) my dumpster found Naim 250.2 actually has been re-capped with Kemet AlC10D caps ,on PSU , Samwha Pet J7E 105 degree on decoupling and unfortunately 105 low ESR on 10uF /63v . 100uF /63 V Wurst AP- ATLL caps were used in feedback positions. I'm not sure if I should futz with ut
Some parts of NAP250.2 can be modified to become NAP300. Perhaps that would be better?

I will PM you ,also regarding regs. For now I will wait for the preamp to settle. It lost all initial " bloom" and is on the fast , lean spectrum. I recapped Nait5 and it sounded heinous for first week but settled down to a pleasant surprise. I broke down and bought vintage 100uF /35v wet tantalums for Nap250 feedback. It's easy to work on NAP 250 so it shouldn't take long to change them. For now I have to put together XPS/555 PSU which is rusting in box for months now. I didn't care for Teddy Pardo XPS.
Ps. Oleg , your Telegram link is broken , can you re-post it?

I have to agree with Jun posting in this thread that Supernait onboard Dac as basic as it supposed to be ain' as bad as Naim crowd said it is. It's not exuberant and sparkling with detail but it carries the tune pretty well hooked up to Auralic Aries streamer. I think that this $500 spent on the clunker may be my best audio investment so far. I will probably never know how it compares to better Naim preamp becuase of the Naim crowd peculiarity. No Naimee would hook it up to his system knowing it was hacked out of fear that the whole house would explode but that's OK.
