Why dont you post some more pics of your lovely amp to take your mind off it. I would be interested in particular to see the transformer and main power supply.
Im glad you got it sorted!
Cheers, me too!
I'm off site tomorrow, it's a 4 hour drive so need to set off at 5 and I need some welcomed kip. I've took some more photos of the amp and tranny etc. Hopefully the hotel wifi isn't too crap so I can post them tomorrow night.
Later....
Have you made any before and after measurements to objectively quantify your conclusions?
Regarding?
it sounds great!
Just curious about what kind of improvements were made to THD, IMD, Noise, Frequency Response, Etc with all the mods.

Sorry no. I doubt the majority of folk who delve into their equipment as a hobby do either. I have no need for before and after scientific analysis, what's important to me is if it sounds good by ear and not by the improvement in figures on a test machine.

Hi Nad.
Here's my current project.
A lightly modified Cambridge Audio Azur 340A SE 😀 😀 😀
Now dual mono Naim poweramps with dual Avondale audio minicap6 PSU's. 2 x 225VA trafos. Dual mono SKA audio SKpre class-A preamps running on TeddyReg's. Relay input switching from Dantimax.dk, Alps motorpot. Everything works off the original Cambridge audio front panel pcb so I have the full function of the front panel buttons and remote. No tone or balance any more though....
Its still not completely finished but Ive had it running. Sounds v nice and should be even better with a few more small tweaks.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Looking good fella, top stuff, chuffed for you!
Do you like Cambridge?? I've got a CA system kicking about that you might be interested in seeing, or maybe not. Do you want me to post a pic??

I've got a whole collection of systems and components but I don't normally like to say what I own as some think I'm either bull shitting or boasting, but what the F***.
Primary CA system..........Discmagic, Dacmagic, C500 & 2 x P500's.
There's many, many more too

Thats a nice system. How doses it sound compared to the recently modded Nad gear? I bet the dual mono amps have a lot more drive.
Whats your main system and speakers (the one you use everyday)?
