My "maybe" revolutionary turntable design

Next, I designed and made a tool that I call an expansion collar. This tool is placed around the pulley's hub, and the hub is expanded using three 10-32 socket head cap screws. Once the hub has been expanded approximately .003", the pulley is slid onto the motor shaft and the screws of the expansion tool are loosened, causing the pulley's hub to tightly grip the motor shaft and of course the whole process is reversible.
Brilliant!

Please note that I'm neither an engineer nor a technician, but I like Mechanics and, after appreciating the reasons why you refused to use set screws to block the pulley on the engine shaft, I found your alternative idea and its implementation to be one of the most ingenious and effective and at the same time "simple" things I've ever seen.

I just remembered that in the movie Solaris (1972) the following phrase is said by the protagonist: "Simple, like all things of genius".

My compliments (for what they are worth).

Edit to add: I didn't get it right away, I had to think about it a bit to get it. 😉
