Hi AAK,
Wow, just found this thread. Those boards sure look great. If they sound as good as they look, count me in.
I presently have a pair of 2 way active crossovers based on MiniDSP driving GedLee Abbeys. I also have an LFE output to a Sub. I am looking for 5 channels of DAC driven by 5 channels of either TOSLINK or SPDIF. I will also need in future to expand to a multi sub configuration, so will need the additional 3 channels.

Hi kuribo,
The ES9018 accepts only S/PDIF, I2S, or DSD inputs. There's no USB input. But you can connect your exasound's DCK, LR and it's 4 x I2S outputs directly to my DAC board and you're all set.
Al
Yeah, I knew that...I was assuming you would have a usb input front end but since I already have the 8 channel exa board, even better....
Thanks! Please let us know about price, etc....

Hi Lil Knight,
I couldn't fit the two AVCC regulators on-board. The DAC section of the board measures 1.9" x 2.6", and the two AVCC regulators though small at 1" x 0.5" each take up too much space. It's also nice to have the option to try different types of regulators.
Best regards,
Al
