My "audiophile" LM3886 approach

Rudi,
I have already decided by a great deal of time of doesn't publish more circuits in this forum, and doesn't participate more to the discussions.

This post serves only to explain my reasons.

I don't share your approach to my work.

It is beautiful that do tests and look for a variation suited to your system. This is in the DIYs spirit.

It is beautiful that you share your variations with the forum. This is in the DIYs spirit.

What I don't understand is the "technical line" that you have decided to hold.

When I read your interventions, seems me my choices are to "stupefy", and instead you know thing has to do....

I have written a complete technical relationship on my work
I have given a technical explanation to all the mine select ( technical, doesn't "subjective"). Correct, make a mistake? all is can improve.

A amp is not only an circuit by set base on its sound. The Brian's questions are corrected.

You have an idea of thing does when modifies my circuit?
You speak of stability, polarization, clipping and simulation.
Simulation? stability?
How to you did to simulate LM318N with the net among pin6 and pin8?
You have an idea of that transfer function has LM318 with that net?
You have idea of that are the theoretical parameters that have pushed me to do the revA, revB and revC ?

What benefit have to take an oath "duel" among my_ref standard and your version ?
Do want show ?
Perhaps that I am not capable of improve my circuit ?
Or that I have given to the forum the not performing circuits ?

Compliments, Rudi. I wish you much success, with the results of MY work.

I Want you remember that you have not the legal right to criticize Russ or other if sell Kits.
I Want you remember that you are using the fruit of MY work, not of YOURS.

This selfish behaviours have convinced me to abandon this furum. I am some that the DIYs world without my works and my presence will be more clear of creating "Hot Rodding".

Goodbye

Mauro

You will be missed

Your sharing of information and ideas was much appreciated. The circuit as designed is very good, and easily built at low cost, and electrical power consumption.
I am saddened that your current work and future projects are not going to be published.
Have a great Holiday season!

Happy Builder of My_Ref A & C

Mr.Mauro Penasa

Thank you so much for your amp design. I am not a technical person, but I can only respond from my level; of an end user. This amp is my best amp I have. Although, I must confess I have added some more capacitance to the p.s. For me, a lot of the fun is building and tweaking, which is an individual choice.

In these forums, it is impossible to not offend someone at some point. It is like walking a tightrope, doing a juggling act and at the same time having to deal with other pressures of this life.

There are other excellent amp designs I have not tried yet.

I appreciate the efforts of Brian, Russ and you Mauro. in creating this amp.

Mauro, you have given pleasure to my ears.(and to that which is connected to them!)

cheers
doggy 🙂 🙂

Mauro, Russ and Brian......please reconsider for the likes of me, the illiterate. Some of my friends and I are planning to bring some kits for ourselves to build and we need the likes of you to hold our hands. Allow me to say that it's this thread that stoke my fire of DIY and took the giant step of doing my first GC in preparation for the My_ref C amp.

In most "hot threads" like this one, this is due to happen, not because of malice, but more of miscommunications. The internet is not the best method of expression, the same with the telephone, thus misunderstandings occur.

I strongly believe that Twisted Pear Audio, Chipamp.com and Audiosector does not make profits, for the price that they are charging. In fact it SAVES those like me who have very little knowledge and comes from a country which is not DIY friendly.

Mauro, thank you for your contribution and Russ and Brian, for your efforts to bring this project to the reach of the forummers. Please don't kill the project off over the remark. I have not built the amp yet. I WANT A CHANCE TO DO SO.......Please......

Getting rich by selling RevC kits

... unless the spirit of DIY has been killed and it has become commercial.

When I close my eyes I see Russ and Brian (I imagine them looking like the late Elvis and Liberace), they are sitting under palms next to their monster swimming pool. The eternal sunlight of Beverly Hills fries paunches full of lobster and champers. Fat fingers full of diamond rings holding cuban cigars and huge longdrink glasses served by big-boobed bunnies. A cell phone rings - "Yeah, Russ here ... ... Another million RevC kits sold ? ... Nice ... Get ´em sent out immediately, need cash for some new Porsches. ... Hey, Brian ! Briaaan !! Want some Porsches too ?" ... ... .. .

Yesss, that´s life when you´re selling RevC kits.

When I´m going to get the components for a pair of RevCs I pay roughly € 65,00 = 76,78 US$ without shipping costs. A pair of boards in comparable quality costs € 62,00 = US$73,25 when ordering only two pieces. Well, it´s not a cheap hobby here in old Germany.

So i pay 95,00 US$ at http://www.twistedpearaudio.com and I´m happy with my kits, and as for me Russ and Brian may be happy with their decadent lifestyle. :clown:

Mauro - Thank you for sharing your design with the community - but I fully understand you leaving what with the attitude of SOME. Be content in the knowledge that this project will provide many hours of enjoyment for many people who will not be continually sniping at design decisions taken. "Back seat drivers"

ITO Value for money & ease of build - this is the best DIY project bar none.
