My "audiophile" LM3886 approach

@availlyrics my current set up. Need to create a new box for the raspberry pi streamer and my CIRCLOPHONE amp.

I am still wondering how you managed to get the pcbs.

I guess i must have been very persivierent for this amp. There are various version of MyRef made by mauro (designer) and then Linux guru, clavefremen and may be more ( this is my understanding and i can be wrong and canbe corrected ) but for me i made this and I am happy.

I still have 3 out of 5 boards if anyone from mumbai than i can share but mailing them is not in my capacity currently sorry.

One is in use and other one i will keep as spare.

Persivierent yes.
You are right about the pcbs. But then even when I can get my hands on the pcb(get it etched) and also buy the components... it will take time and headaches. Though my preference to revA was absence of smd components and stereo board.
However linuxguru has been known to offer the pcb for a manageable level prepopulated and with improvements.
Haven't heard from him yet though, must be occupied with the new year. But I am positive I will hear from him soon.
And yes, he also gave the same heads up for matched resistors.

I'm also looking for him for the latest version.

I'm from Kolkata and would like to get a board for me. But as mailing is a problem for you, I'm not asking for the price.

But in near future if you could manage to ship with any courier nearby, please let me know. I'm really eager to built one for me.

But I want my board to be prepopulated with right resistors and capacitors
You should be ready for the component cost and the cost of original LM3886’s they are nearly 900/- + per piece

As per my knowledge the op-amp is also not locally available

For my stereo board I sent nearly ₹8k for components as per the bom all stuff was picked from mouser and digikey ie 0.1% bridge resistors Vishay Dale and regular 1% Vishay Dale.

You could find a source to get you just the wima caps and 0.1% resistors , than use rest of the resistors from the local market.

Chunky heatsinks seen in my build is approx 1.8k.

Do you need a chunky Heatsink, you need a good Heatsink with low c\w

Mine is 0.5 c/w per 100mm

0-24 0-24 300VA Toroid transformer

I had etched my first LM3886 PCB using elektor design. The only flaw in the design was 0.1 uF bypass located before the electrolytics. Also got XY PCB , yet to solder. So I won't be able to participate in GB, sorry.
Compared to xy’s board 00940’s board is better designed, you may have a look incase you need to redo the LM3886 amp. I have a pair of Tom’s LM3886 DR which need to be assembled.
