Muses Volume

Well, I tried the above, bypassing the audio connection from the main board and routing the input and output signal via X4 and X5 on the volume board instead. I set the input channel count back to zero and the power up input channel back to zero. Unfortunately I get no sound. just a little distorted music when the power is off, which mutes completely when the power is on.

I don't see anything wrong with my build. I can swap in another muses chip, but the soldering on that looks good to me. I imagine the firmware chip is okay since I can set the remote keys and parameters.

If anyone has ideas regarding what to try next, I'll gladly entertain them. I've never had a DIY audio build failure, and I am hoping to avoid a failure here.

Any progress?
I'm in the same situation as you.

Yes.
After that, check all voltages on the mainboard (without any other board).
Just measured X4 and X5 on the u-controller and there's no voltage. I've already replaced IC1. Could it be IC10? Can't recall if it ever had the red dot on it.

Removed the solder with a wick and the screen appears to be damaged. Could this have caused the problem?

Will need a new controller board and chip. Some of the solder pads had come loose. Meldano, could I order a PCB controller and chip from you? Or if someone has a spare board I could buy?

Some of the controller's pads are not used in this circuit.
Maybe some of those came loose, so the circuit might still work. You can check it in the documentation on pages 5 and 15.

Unfortunately I didn't know and 'removed' IC10 with a cutter. So in other words I wrecked both the board an IC. 🥺

This must be one of the most frustrating projects I ever did. My soldering skills are pretty good and still it didn't work. 😭

That is a pity!
My build had similar problems (wrecked controller because of improper configuration and blown 3V3 reg..) , but in the end everything turned out well. My Muses sings beautifully with my DCG3!
I hope Meldano still hast controller..Fingers crossed

I intend to use it for the same preamp. I'm glad you got it working 🙂

I've installed the Muse Volume Board in my Waynes's linestage preamplifier.
I did not connect the output of the linestage with the output relay of Muse Main board.

Thanks for the tip, my inexperience often gets me into trouble!
in fact the pin out is different, I continue my research.
Maybe do you have a replacement to recommend?
good day everyone!
