Im in the process of bringing this amp back to life. The modle i have is the 2300x Black heatsink with gold lettering.
I have a couple questions
Wondering what is a good power supply fet for this amp?? Since the fets are missing.
There is a resistor thats to burnt to tell the value wondering if anyone knows the value of R429 located in front of the rectifier.
And what transistor goes in Q220's spot since its missing

This is an image from an MTX Thunder 4320. Perhaps is close to what you are missing?
The resistor on mine is 2k ohms.

The resistor thats missing in mine is the 1 closet to the cap in the row with 4 resistors. It looks like a 22.1 ohm resistor from what i can see is this correct?
Also i have another 2300 amp but the board is totally different.
The one im repairing is the 2300x and the other one i have is a thunder 2300 is there a difference in output of theese amps or about the same?

The ones closest to the caps are 22.1 ohms.
The power output is essentially the same (as far as I know) but the one with the 6 power supply FETs is probably more reliable. Most have labels on the back of them that give the power ratings.

I also noticed this amp has the same problems as the other 2300 i have,The 1N4148 diodes by the output transistors are shorted is this a common problem when the outputs go?
Also im gonna be fixing alot of problems in the output section since i found someone tryed repairing this amp themselfs and had 540's on 1 side for the outputs and irfz48's on the other side , Gotta love it

Ok maybe i was wrong . I cant make out 1 of the numbers on it .
It says 1N4150 or 1N4450 do either of thoose sound familar?

I don't remember ever having to replace any diodes in the output section. When removing them, be careful not to break them (they can become very fragile when they fail) so you can get the part number off of them.
The ones in this amp are 1N4150 out of the board the read .000 in diode check so pretty sure they are shorted.
If i leave the rectifiers out in this amp will it disable the output section ? I wanna see if i can rebuild the power supply first and see if i can get that up and running
I've never tried removing the rectifiers in one of these amps but I don't think you'll have any problems.
Wondering if anyone has 1 of theese amps they are parting out? Im looking to buy the gold badges on the top that say mtx and the other 2 that say thunder and 2300 If anyone has theese badges and wants to sell them please let me know
I found a cap that is defective in this amp looks like it got burnt when the fets blew.
The cap is marked 1nk 100 does anyone know the value of this cap?
