Nice! Really cool to just be able to find a new piece of software, write into a hundreds of pages long forum thread, and end up happening upon one of the devs who made, all within less than 24 hours 🙂
Most of the day to day support happens in our Forum but I still monitor this thread and time permitting I'll do some support 🙂

For now I'm good, tinkering around with https://github.com/duncanthrax/scream and https://github.com/badaix/snapcast, trying to see if I can find a sensible way to integrate them with moOde . Thanks for the link, will keep it in mind! 🙂
Hello everyone,
does anyone know a source for z-foil resistors in the eu where you don't have to wait for weeks?
Since Brexit, orders from the UK have involved a lot of customs work and time.

This might need a group buy. I've tried to search LCSC every which way. No dice so far. The metallized polypropylene capacitors aren't all too easy to come by, either, especially since you need more than 2 so they can be matched.
@sixtyfive ,
yes of course, that was my hope. ;-)
I had always trouble with German customs when something comes from USA. :-|
Will test it now first with Vishay SRF

Need some advice on IC Q7 ll. l have been using moOde for a few weeks with a protoDAC, and I have had no problems. Installed the new Q7ll, and then the problem started. Once I turn on the power on the clean side, 3.3v, of the Q7ll I lose contact with moOde over WiFi. Once I turn it off again, moOde is back! Instead Volumio, just to see if I got sound, and I did. I prefer moOde over Volumio and would like to get some advice. Someone with similar experience???
There is a specific power configuration when using a Q7 so that ProtoDAC can receive the required 5V. The Builder Guide has been recently updated to reflect this in section 4 Assembly.
ProtoDAC Builder Guide
https://github.com/moode-player/protodac/blob/main/docs/protodac_tda1387_x8.md#4-assembly
If you are already using the correct power config then your best bet is to report the issue in the official ProtoDAC support thread to see if someone can reproduce it.

Thanks @TimCurtis. I’m aware of those forums. I'm waiting for an additional 5v supply for the protoDAC and hopefully that’s the case. Thanks again.

Hi everyone, newbie here!
I've just burned the image as described and turned on my lovely RPi 4, it works like a charm! Using RPi 4 + USB DAC (Pro-ject DAC Box S2+) + stereo amp..
While I do understand many people may have local music files, the streaming services is also quite popular. Frankly I was expecting to see album art, at least the song name etc, when streaming on spotify.. I've noted the -possibly- last message on this topic is posted back in 2015s.. missed if any updates..
Can you kindly give a heads up, is there any way to have this info displayed..?
Many thanks for the efforts!

Hadn't seen that yet, no! Looks mighty interesting. A little concerned about the lack of responses to half the Issues. OTOH each time I look, there's a couple of new commits. So perhaps just a very focussed author, which is of course fair enough. Will keep an eye on it.have you see this https://github.com/haileys/bark

What I like about SnapCast is that it's really mature and stable, there's something for Linux, Windows and Android, and even a proof-of-concept fork to use it from an ESP32.
Looking at the concept and the code, Bark has an insane amount of potential, though. Pretty mind-boggling what she's pulling off there all by herself.
Not yet, Papa has cancer, take all my time … it goes down with him.Success
Oh dear, so sorry to hear about that, Carsten. My mom died of cancer, and it's a terrible thing. Sending you heartfelt regards and wishing for there to be good people in your life so you're not having to walk that most difficult of paths on your own! Perhaps more important than the little devices we like to build, is now the music we build them for 💚

Note this will prolly be the last Bullseye release before the project begins the switch to Bookworm development.
