Hi Tim,
I had a look through the posts here and cannot find any reference.
Will Moode version 3 have configuration choices for the Allo Dacs?
(I see Max2play and Volumio have added the Allo devices to their repertoires, although the Volumio driver for the Allo 2.1 which adds the TI dsd output filtering doesn't work properly yet)
many thanks
regards
Patrick
Is there an entry in boot/overlays for the allo piano?
@Zootalaws
There is in the new Volumio release for the Allo device(s):-

Radio Station - track information
Hi all - on some of the radio stations (e.g. Audiophile Rock-Blues) I get the track info (artist and track name) displayed as it plays. On other stations (e.g BBC 320k Radio 6 music) it does not. I know the BBC do broadcast this info - it is there when I listen to the channel on a DAB radio. Does anyone know if this is an issue with the stream, the Moode setting, or other issue? Regards Adrian

I emailed the beeb about this- they use an API to link what's currently playing with the track/artist info, they don't embed it in the stream
The API allows you to interrogate the current play for a particular station, including docos, news, sports, etc. and for every BBC station, including regional ones.
It integrates with their management system which is used to put programmes together.

Thanks for that - it does seem a strange decision of the BBC to broadcast more info through DAB than in the stream when most people in the UK listen to DAB in their cars, and we would hope are looking at the road and not the radio screen.....I emailed the beeb about this- they use an API to link what's currently playing with the track/artist info, they don't embed it in the stream

You misunderstand. They don't encode in the media, but the massive database that holds every song, every interview, every news article, every jingle and quote and theme tune contains detailed info about the clip - time/date, duration, location, contents, composer, subject, category, etc. and is dovetailed into the DAB stream at point of broadcast. It's the same for tv. FM Radio has less info b cause they mostly encode type and station ID so you can keep listening to radio 1 as you cruise the motorway or find the closest news when you don't know the local stations. For internet radio there's no need to encode in the stream, as you have the API to give you all the info you need and more. There's no mileage in it for the beeb to make that info available for a third party - they want to drive listeners to BBC- branded websites.
Hi Tim. Will picoreplayer in moode 3.0 be able to download and run Logitech media server on pi 2 & 3?

Hi,
piCorePlayer is the wonderful LMS+Squeezelite based audio player developed and maintained by the pCP guys (Ralphy, Greg, Paul and Steen).
https://sites.google.com/site/picoreplayer/home
Moode 3.0 includes Squeezelite renderer but not LMS.

Are these backups of your system or are they SD card images downloaded from Moodeaudio.org?
If you need a distribution, can you take a copy of your current Sd card back to disk?

I have the zip which is 602mb! I could try emailing it to you. PM me your email address if you would like to try it. I believe Macs allow you to split zip files but I haven't tried it yet.

There's an app called AirAudio that claims to do it, though I haven't tried. I'm using Bubble Upnp, which will stream Tidal, Google Play and Qobuz to Moode - but not Spotify.
