Hi, just another friendly bump 🙂

Hi Tim

Sorry for late response.
Yeah, I have PlainDac+

Anything else you want me to run?

Hi Marek,

Thanks!

PCM512x chip options will be available for PlainDAC+ in first Moode 2.7 update.

Hi,

In Moode 2.7 image it should default to ON for Pi-3 and for other Pi's the setting will not appear.

Do u by any chance turn it off at some point?

-Tim

Hi Tim

I don't believe so but I couldn't say for sure. 2 young children and very little sleep so anything is possible. Sorry. If I get chance over the weekend i'll redo 2.7 from scratch, as per how I did this one, and see how it comes out and get back to you. I've got to do it to upgrade my other pi3 anyway.

cheers Tim

tried on the fresh image..., just 1 and 3 line without quotes, right?, under /boot?

Hi,

Correct, no quotes.

Just tested auto config and no issues.

To verify that it worked look at /var/log/moode.log and /etc/network/interfaces file. Auto config logs what its doing in moode log. The interfaces file should contain a section for wlan0 that has ssid and password from moodecfg.txt file.

hello i´ve tested the moode 2.7 today and i´m having issues.
the setup is raspberry pi 3 (wireless) + hifiberry dac pro.
using minimserver on pc and bubbleupnp on adroid.
after 2 to 3 songs music stops, and lose connection to moode. i check on fing and i don´t see moode no more and i have to go and disconnect the power supply to do a reboot.

i was using max2play previously and never breaks (sometimes loose connection but don´t break). so i think it is a moode bug.
i think moode sounds better so i would like some help.
tks

After reading throug some raspi forums I found that loosing network connection generally is a known PI issue (so not moode related, maybe raspbian) and no one seems to know the ultimate solution.

One post I read mentioned to add the following code to /boot/cmdline.txt:
smsc95xx.turbo_mode=N dwc_otg.speed=1

It was said, it slows down the speed the usb-chip runs to 10 Mbit...

Even though I don't know if this applies to moode in any case, since then I have had no issues streaming from one PI3 with moode 2.7 to another PI3 with moode 2.7 ( at least for the last 30 Minutes which is way longer than any time before).
I will report, if this fixes my problem permanently.

Having issues getting interface to come up in AP mode. I can connect my tablet to the pi, but cant get anything past that. what I have tried in browser"

diyAudio server HTTPS page
moode.local
moode

pi 2 Rev. B, Hifiberry Dac+ Pro, Edimax wifi dongle

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
GGM

Hi,

If Android OS on Tablet then probably need to use IP address of AP (http://172.24.1.1).

Many Android based OS's don't support multicast DNS (mDNS) and thus not able to resolve the .local domain. The only fallback to access AP is IP address.

Hi,

It could be the issue described in the link below regarding Hifiberry DAC+ Pro causing issue with Pi-3 WiFi.
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pc-based/271811-moode-audio-player-raspberry-pi-415.html#post4789594

Hifiberry is aware of issue and investigating.

Hi,

Updater is pretty basic and thus there is no undo mechanism. If u think an update may not have completed successfully, it can simply be reinstalled by deleting the file below then clicking "CHECK for software update" followed by INSTALL.

/var/www/update-r26.txt

If u still have issues after reinstall then post back the contents of moode log.

/var/log/moode.log
